Thank you to the New Haven Club, The National Association of Negro Professional and Business Woman's Club Inc. They partnered with Varick's Women's Ministry for a health clinic. The Health Club provided free health screenings (Bld Pressures, Fingers ticks, weight and height checks).

This much needed service helped individuals with knowing their levels.

Thank you for your professionalism shown with the upmost respect for people in our community.

Deaconesd Roslind Wyntets has worked 27 years in sales and service at American Airlines and then 10 years as a Bridal Consultant for Macys.

She is currently enrolled as a student at Middlesex Institute of Theology and Technology, in Middletown CT, where in 2018, she received a bachelor's degree in biblical studies. Her goal is to be a lifetime student of the Word of God.

She became a member of Varick Memorial AME Zion in 2013 under the awesome leadership of Rev. Eldren Morrison. She is currently a proud Class Leader, Sunday and Tuesday Night Bible Study teacher, Christian Education Director.

She is honored to serve on the Deaconess Board. Sister Wyntere is also a member of the CT/NC Womens's Monday Night Bible Study group, as a student and a teacher.

She loves this season in her life, it has allowed her to grow in the knowledge of the Word of God and the precious gift that God has given her to enjoy time with her husband Wesley, and their 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren.

Her favorite Bible Scripture:
Proverbs19: 8 The one who gets wisdom loves life: the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.

Deaconess Gertrude Hood was a member of Varick Church for over 40 years.

She was a Member of the Deaconess Board, President of the Usher Board, and worked in the New Haven Public School System.

Sister Gloria Sampson has been a member of Varick Church since 2015. This anointed woman of God is an Exhorter on the Ministerial staff. Sister Gloria is a prayer warrior! She loves God and his people. She retired from SNET (Southern New England Telephone Company) in1995. She also retired from Yale New Haven Hospital in April 2014. Sister Gloria is currently working for her daughter's transportation company. In her spare time she likes to dabble in some baking.

Jude 24:24-25 "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
