Grace On The Ground

Grace On The Ground "Grace On The Ground" exists to build and promote grace filled relationships through counsel, equipping, and encouragement.

Grace On The Ground is simply a ministry platform to help offer my services to people and let people know I'm available to them. I don't pretend to be or qualified to be an expert I am simply a man after God's own heart willing and able only by God's grace and Spirit to help others. Though I have credentials my experience as a follower of Christ my Lord and Savior for 20 plus years and a pastor fo

r over 10 are my greatest assets and resource. Grace On The Ground was actually a sermon title years ago that my son CJ recalled to me when I was telling him about starting this ministry. He said, "you should name it "Grace On The Ground" dad, and so I did. Later, as I thought and prayed about it the name "Grace On The Ground" began to mean so much more. Just as Jesus was sent by the Father to live among us (John 1-14), He embodied grace on the ground to all He came in contact with and He has given that call and privilege to us (John 20:21-22). Through Him and in Him we by the Holy Spirit are Grace On The Ground (or we should be) to all we come in contact with. So, maybe you need some counseling, a life coach, leadership training, need a speaker or someone to preach the gospel, an interim pastor or pastor, facilitate a wedding or memorial, or you just want to talk about the things of God why not give me a call.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind can know what God has in store. So open up heaven, open it wide, over our church and over our lives.

Today is a special day of thanksgiving for my wife Lisa-Jean and I. Today we will be prayed over and given a blessing of commission by the church who lovingly took us in and ministered to our aching hearts. God is so good and faithful! We thank God today for the body of Christ and specifically the local body of Christ called Grace Bible in Barrington New Jersey. And we thank you Grace Bible Church as we spend our last Sunday with you as warmly welcomed and needy recipients of God’s grace so lovingly provided. Some of you who is Don & Lisa-Jean and what could I have done for them. Believe me when I say abundantly more than you know. Smiles, kind words, being along side you all in worship of our Lord, the messages from God’s Word that touched our hearts as they heal, and being encouraged by a gospel centered church after God’s own heart. I look forward to many years of a continued relationship with you all as we seek to further the kingdom of God. Thank you and God bless you all!

Read Church history and you’ll see some of the worst atrocities in human history justified by people calling themselves followers of Jesus, but craving earthly kingdom power.

THIS IS SO DANGEROUS!

Probably a bad idea but I decided I was going to give this election some of my time in order to make a possible informed and in good conscience God honoring decision, so I've been following the despicable and appalling body of work by both sides. Though I have sparingly shared on social media what others have shared or said I resolved to not make any original comments of my own. Though much of what I have heard and seen is disturbing and upsetting I have done well not to let it get under my skin and have been able to keep my silence. Well, not anymore. By far the worst thing that I have seen and heard thus far has not come from a candidate or their constituents, any politician, journalist, or even the media, it came from Eric Metaxas.

Eric Matexas on Fox News (Watch video below from 10/14/16) in essence said if Christians do not vote for Donald Trump you are voting for Hilary Clinton and God will hold you accountable. What Metaxas basically said was It is not only okay for Christ followers to vote for Donald Trump, but it would be sinful not to do so. What else can be inferred by him stating emphatically that God will hold them accountable? Why is it okay? Because Metaxas rationalizes that God would rather have a president who does not espouse or exemplify a Christian worldview that might possibly appoint supreme court justices who may possibly judge and interpret the constitution closer to a Christian worldview. The result could be that America would be a little better off than if the other candidate became president who would appoint supreme court justices whose non-existent worldview is a little worse.

Metaxas includes God in the equation as grieved and unhappy and wrathful over Christians who will vote for the worst of two evils and also for those who will not vote for evil at all. This is so dangerous! Yet Metaxas leaves out of the equation God’s sovereignty over the whole situation as if our all powerful Creator needs our help to appoint supreme court justices and is wringing His hands hoping we get out and vote for DJT. God is in control of it all and can be trusted to put whoever He wants in power and also bring down whomever He wishes. I’m sorry but I have prayed and prayed and prayed and I have received no such “go ahead” to vote for evil. Evil is evil wether republican or democrat. Besides, God is not American and only He knows what His will is for America we are citizens of heaven and when you get right down to it live in a different kingdom here and now with the Only Righteous King.

Good article . . . That's what most will say and then move on to the next "good article" satisfied with information and the fact that they for the most part agree. Afterwards a shrug of the shoulders and a verbal or under the breath "oh well, what can we do, it is what it is". What can be done? Personal transforming answer at the end of the "good article"!
