New Cumberland First Church of God

New Cumberland First Church of God To help each person develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Actively serving God & others in New Cumberland. Sunday Worship: 8:30 & 10:45am

Our church values each person as a personal friend and part of our Christian family. We’re committed to help each individual develop their faith in a friendly, encouraging environment. We’re a Bible based community that reaches beyond church walls. Jesus never saw church as a place to go, but as a people who love Him and are learning to love each other. We want you to be comfortable enough to come just as you are. You don’t have to dress up and it doesn’t matter how old you are. Our church is a place where God meets people who are far from perfect.

In this book the author asked a corporate leader if he knew what it meant to be "decisively engaged."
The businessman replied, "No. I was never in the military."
Being "decisively engaged" is when you find yourself in a battle and you can't retreat; there's no escape. You must fight. You must win.
Church, this is how we should approach sharing our faith! Offering the Good News about Jesus as though people will be destroyed if they don't hear about Jesus, and don't believe Jesus!
I encourage you to go on mission making disciples like you're an elite special forces soldier!
Pray. Prepare. Plan. Engage.
Pastor Charlie

Many Bible readers struggle with Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy. Lots of people who try to read straight through the entire Bible stop while reading one of these books. This is unfortunate! There is lots of rich historical & spiritual information in these ancient texts.
Join us as we "Pan for Gold" unpacking these three books beginning June 28th. Worship gatherings begin at 8:30 & 10:45 Sunday mornings.

In case you missed it, our church was featured in "The Global Advocate" in the Winter 2026 issue! The article explained how we tried encouraging and offering up to $100 to church families to host "Meet your neighbor barbecues" in their neighborhoods. Although several families did them with great results, most church families didn't participate.
So we changed the plan and started offering "Pop-up barbeques" near our church. These were very well received. We gave away grilled hotdogs, a variety of popsicles, Smores, sports drinks, bottled water and more.
The photo's are from the first day of school.
"Love your neighbor!" Jesus

We received this touching Prayer Request at our Blessing Box's Prayer Box:
"I'm tired of making the wrong choices. I hurt all the time. I think God's telling me to move on. I am afraid I'm not listening. Please pray for courage to make the right decision & for my ability to trust God and this process. I just want to feel better."
Please pray for this beautiful person. Prayer works!
