Good afternoon Saints,
Happy Palm Sunday!
Mark 11 1-11 Directs our attention to Our Savior Jesus Christ coronation as "The True King ". Jesus was determined to get up to Calvary to give His life a sacrifice for the sins of every man ,women,boy and girl. It is now the end of His three years of ministry healing , raising the dead , forgiving , restoring setting and captives free ! As Jesus entered Jerusalem the crowds encompassed Him on all sides the crowned Him their messianic King , the people waving palm branches shouting Hosanna! Hosanna! Which in the Hebrew word means "give salvation now" the people laid down their outer garments along the path for their new King . The excitement of the crowd was a fever pitch filled with praise for The Messiah as procession moved through Jerusalem. How good they must have being feeling, their long awaited Messiah had finally come to deliver them from the oppression of the Romans they thought,but Jesus began to pass judgment on their sins and unrighteousness not their enemies, how could this be? We crown Him King and He judges us and is silent about our oppression, well you guessed it the same crowd of people just five days later who shouted Hosannas are being asked who do you choose The King of The Jews or Barabbas the killer ,they choose barabbas to be freed and Jesus to be crucified , then the Jews said let His blood be on us and Our children!
Dear Lord we do thank You that You love us so much that You have Sent Your Only Begotten Son Jesus to die on the cross at Calvary for our sins , so that we may be forgiven of our sins and trespasses against You!! Your Word says if we trust and rely on you , You gave us the right to be Your children. May The Lord Bless and keep you all until He comes again.
