Pursuing God means to intentionally seek Him. To know Him, love Him, and grow a relationship with Him, not simply know about Him. It means desiring Him for who He is, not just the blessings He gives.

This doesn’t mean we’ll never need His helping hand, never struggle, or never feel far from Him. Rather, it’s about maintaining a continual posture of the heart that says, “I want You.”

And thankfully, He pursues us first. He awakens our hearts to desire Him, draws us near, and gives us the grace to seek Him.

Last night, we celebrated Pastor Gabe’s ordination!

It was a powerful night of worship, a word from Pastor Ron Walborn, ordination vows led by Pastor Mike, and heartfelt words from Gabe.

We are so thankful for Pastor Gabe and his obedience to the Lord in the way he has chosen to serve Jesus and His people with such care and love.

Congratulations, Pastor Gabe! We love you and are so grateful for everything you do. We can’t wait to see all that God has ahead! ❤️

To close out our sermon series on the Fruit of the Spirit, Pastor Ashley taught us about self-control—a reminder that self-control doesn’t come from relying on our own strength, but from surrendering our emotions, thoughts, and decisions to the Lord.

As we reflect on this sermon series, let’s continue to carry these teachings with us and do our best to put them into practice each day. May we surrender ourselves to God and allow Him to grow the Fruit of the Spirit within us.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” - Galatians 5:22-23
