"If I Love God or Not, He Still Wants the Best for Me"

As a red-head farm kid, when his dad died, Lorne Brownmiller longed for something different. He knew God could have saved his dad, but when He let him pass away, Lorne didn't like the way God operated, so he gravitated towards rebellion. He lived to make money, and when he established a thriving night club in Whistler, he thought he had it made. However, he detected God interrupting what he wanted as his life began to unravel. "God needed something from me, and I wasn’t willing to give it to Him.” Although it's not been easy, when Lorne discovered what God wanted for him, he was set free and found his joy and freedom in willing service to God and to others.
