Good Evening! I just sent out a prayer request to our PRAYER TEAM. But, for those of you who do not receive those prayer requests, I wanted to update you and Wanda's health.
Many of you have asked about why Wanda and Mike have been absent for the past several weeks. Simply put, Wanda is suffering from a severe immune system disease. It is very debilitating and she is very susceptible to germs, viruses, etc. The treatment for this illness is very dangerous with life changing consequences.
A group of us went over and anointed Wanda and prayed over her and want you to all join our prayer for God's healing touch.
When you couple all of this with the loss of her brother Wayne and the grief she has carried, Wanda could certainly use your prayers. She told me they want to come to church to be with all of you, but just can't risk it at this time. They would also love to invite you over or accept your help, but it is very important for her to be "isolated" for her safety, so please no meals or personal visits.
Right now they are seeking second opinions, about the diagnosis and treatments, but cannot get in to see these specialists until October, so they are patiently waiting. Please keep them in your prayers. If you have a chance, send a note or maybe a text of encouragement. Please do not call as Wanda's voice is about "shot" and you know how much she would love to talk to all of you. If they are able to come to church some Sunday they will arrive late, sit in the back, and probably exit early, so as to avoid the crowds. Wanda does not need any additional illnesses to complicate the situation.
Once again, keep them in your prayers. We worship a God known for his powerful healing touch and we know God can do a powerful work in this situation. This is a time for all of us to unite in prayer for our dear SISTER in CHRIST. If you have questions, please come and see me tomorrow. Thank you in advance for your prayers!
