Latcom Mission

Latcom Mission LATCOM is your heart, hands, and feet to reach Latin Americans for Christ. LATCOM is a partnership between North American and South American Christians.

Since our beginning, we have placed ministries in the hands of nationals, who are capable, Spirit-led, and eager to share the Gospel with their fellow countrymen. In the USA, LATCOM has a Board of Directors, an Executive Director, a home office staff, and several USA-based missionaries. Likewise in South America, there is a Board of Directors, based in Bolivia; a Bolivian staff; and several Bolivian missionaries. LATCOM(USA) gives support and counsel to our Bolivian counterparts.

Last week national missionaries, Juan and Rosita Garcia, started the Good News Clubs in Cornocal. At the conclusion of that time three of the children accepted the Lord. We now have permission from the community to build a picnic style shelter where we can host these weekly Children's Clubs and future Bible studies.

We here at LATCOM thank you, Juan and Rosita and the many other REDES Lomerio leaders who weekly hold these Good News Clubs for Chiquitano children in 20 of the 29 communities of the Lomerio.

Two of the most recent outreaches in the Lomerio are La Asunta and Cornocal. Here are a few pictures of the help we give these communities with reading glasses and diabetes sugar testing. These open the doors to the presentation of our REDES programs. We now have permission to start the Good News Clubs in both of them. The following pictures are from La Asunta. Thank you donors and prayer partners for making this possible.

The LAST morning of the work on the Game Room by the combined volunteer team from the Lomerio and Santa Cruz began with an early devotions and breakfast. Then off to work on finishing the outside of the building, cleaning and polishing the floors, and then WOW!!! Check out the final post next on the dedication.
While this team was busy on the game room another team, funded by the same folks who gave for the game room, were fixing some desperately needed floors in the boys dorm. That is in a separate posting

When Chuck and Jean Ramsey lived at MB Camp they fixed this small garage for their car. It is now to become the tool room for Volunteer Teams to store their tools and supplies. So this morning right after devotions and before breakfast the team went out and began the process of cleaning it out and fixing it up. We hope to send a volunteer team up every month from Santa Cruz churches to help us out.

The latest from the MB Volunteer Maintenance Team: They started the day with devotions in the small cabin Ceci and I have up at camp. They then tackled the game room and as you can see it was a mess of cracked walls, peeling paint, and need of repairs. They worked really hard and finished up all patching on the interior walls and began painting the beams and ceiling. Tomorrow they will tackle the outside wall repair and begin to paint the entire place. Omar said they were encouraged and happy with what they got done. THANK YOU to these amazing volunteers and to the USA couple who donated the funds to get this done. We have a small mountain of maintenance projects just like this that need volunteers and funding.
