Kamela Smith and I just wanted to thank you for joining us on last night’s Zoom! The participation and the discussion content exceeded our expectations! There was over 250 on the call - we shared, laughed and even cried some but it was all good! We learned that “self care” is NOT selfish. All of us do a great job at caring for those around us but last night helped us to see that we can do a better job at “self care”. Even Jesus pulled away from the disciples and went up into the mountain to pray and seek God. When he came back from that experience, he did great things!

When was the last time you did something for the first time? I’m thinking of following up on this topic next month. Go ahead and do it! Let us know when we get together next month.

Hey Girlfriends! Happy Memorial Day! I trust you’re enjoying this beautiful day (at least it’s beautiful here in Delaware). I’m so thankful for the military men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have as Americans.

I’ve missed our in-person events. I have a few ideas in my head for events and hope to be able to set dates soon. In the meantime, let me know what you’re doing today. Post a pic in the comment section below.

...When everyone walks away shaking their heads and saying, "Wow! That was great!"

Emmaus, the single mother’s ministry, hosted a workshop on Parenting Angry Kids. Wow! Every age group was covered thoroughly from infants to teens to adult children, with REAL, helpful, insightful and funny information we can all start DOING today. How to speak, to model behavior, to change, and how to be patient, even with ourselves.

Big thanks to the amazing speakers and panelists: Ms. Sheila Walker, Mr. Rene Brathwaite, Dr. Jackie Cousins and Dr. John Roland whose resources and practices blessed us so much today.

Thank you Dr. Sheryl and Emmaus team for creating a safe, smart space to share and learn! Know Better :: Do Better!

Last night, the ladies of Wives in Training began the sacred journey of breaking cycles through a little old fashion jenga.

How the two intertwine?!
Words taped on Jenga pieces stirred thoughtful discussion and alot of brave reflection. And a little bit of Luau fun sprinkled on top set the mood to paradise.

Salute to these ladies for accepting the work of Grace.
