Keep this congregation in your prayers. Jim and Darla Stroup's daughter and granddaughter were among those who were injured. They will physically recover, but the emotional recovery from this kind of event will take time. Pray for healing, peace, grace, and strength.

We are so thankful for our Thursday night Faith Kids team. Some people sweep up the Cheetos. Some people drive church vans. Some people prep a craft. Some people sit close to rambunctious kiddos and redirect them over and over ... and over. Some people get to the sanctuary early and pray. Some people pass out snacks. Some people hold a crying child after a fall on the concrete. Some people clean up tables. Some people stand up front and talk. Some people sit and model how to be good listeners. God sees each effort, whether it feels big or small.

Yesterday evening God chose to use these humble efforts to draw hearts to him. A simple Gospel presentation was the culmination of several lessons, and at least 6 children said they gave their hearts to Jesus. I'd sweep up all the Cheetos in the world for that. Hallelujah!

God has blessed our church with beautiful grounds and facilities, and we are thoroughly thankful for any opportunity to maintain and improve them. We want to be good stewards of God's blessings!
