Do you have to go to church to be saved?
No! You go to church because you are saved.
Jesus was beaten, whipped, had his beard pulled out of his face, a crown of sharp thorns jammed down on his head, into his flesh, extreme pain, nails driven through his hands and feet, nailed to the cross in agony, because of his love for the church

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it,

Ephesians 5:25, which states that "Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

Jesus 🩸bleed, died and was buried because of his love for the church

AND WE QUESTION, SHOULD WE GO TO CHURCH?

What more could Jesus do to show his love for you, the born again Christian, the church!

When you have truly accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour,
you truly, with all your heart, soul and mind, confessed your sins, repented of your sins, ask God to forgive your sins in the name of Jesus which God cannot refuse, you are saved, your life will change, you will want to go to church to fellowship with other believers, you won’t want to live the life you lived, being mean and hateful, cursing, fighting arguing, you understand? Your life will have changed, you will slowly be conformed to the image of Christ, of course you can never be Christ that’s impossible, no one can. But you will start wanting to be like him.
-Jesus was always in the temple to worship, praise and honor God, he never neglected going to church we could say!
-Jesus helped the poor
Jesus obeyed the laws of Rome, of the Jewish people, all the laws.
-Jesus always showed love and kindness!
-Jesus showed love, kindness towards all people, color, sin, ethnicity, nationality, political party, if they were nice or not
-Jesus never used profanity

You can read the Bible and see the type of person Jesus was and that’s your goal, that’s the new nature that is in you, when you become saved, born again.

Your life has changed, you are a new creation in Christ and all old things are gone and now you have the ability to be a new person, because of Christ who lives in you!

It’s up to you to live the new that God has given you!

Get back in to church, start reading, studying your Bible daily , get involved in your church, help people, fellowship with other people, worship God, give your tithes, tell others about what’s happened to you, start living the life God wants you to live, stop living the life that you want to live!

Where will you eventually stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ or the Great White Judgement Throne of God?

Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, admitting they are a sinner - having lied, stolen, used the Lord's name in vain, committed adultery, fornication, gotten drunk, smoked ci******es, been homosexual, or whatever, knowing they've done these things in their life - and have asked Jesus to forgive them, confessing with their mouth and believing in their heart that Jesus died on the cross for their sins, believing this with all their heart, and invited Jesus to come into their heart and live, and that He is the Son of God, will be saved! You can't just say this and not believe it; you have to truly mean it, believe it, and put your faith and trust in what you've said, and you will be saved.

Once you are born again, someday you will stand at the Judgement Seat of Christ to answer for what you did for Christ here on earth!

If you have never repented of your sins, you will stand at the Great White Throne Judgement of God
to answer for your sins!

How does being a member of a church work?

You join a church 3 ways, a letter from a previous church sent to your new church or you give a statement of faith, that you been saved and baptized or you get baptized in your new church.

How do you remain a member, by attending the church, makes sense, if you stop going to that church, you are no longer a member. Then if you attended the church and you get old and can no longer attend the church because of your health you will always be a member. If you die and of course you can’t go anymore, you will always be considered a member, if you get sick and cannot come, you are still a member, but when you just stop attending, I believe our church constitution says,” if you don’t come to our church for one year, you are no longer a member.” Different church have different rules on this matter.

I firmly believe that you must attend the service at your church to be a member. If you worked for Amazon for a year, then you stop going to your job, could you continue to call yourself an employ Amazon if you don’t go anymore, no! Makes sense.

So this is the ins and outs of being a church member!

We still worship God every Sunday 11-12pm, we support missions locally and overseas, we have the Lords supper, I occasionally do funerals when ask and will always visit and pray with families when they want me to.
Satan wants our church gone and the faithful members whom have remained committed to the Lord, through the storms, through the nights, will not allow Satan to close our church, to stop the salvation of Christ in our community. I am ever so grateful for our members that have not abandoned our church, and God blessed them
Those that have stuck with the First Baptist Church, know that God has a greater cause than themselves to spread the gospel.
Because of our faithful members, we support starving homeless children in the Philippines, we also support the Breakfast Missions in Wilmington Delaware, which feeds the homeless men, woman and children here in Delaware. If our church would have closed up, we would had never been able to be used by God to help homeless, starving men, woman and children. Thank God for the committed, born again Christians in our church!
Remember our church is small, but powerful as we do our part to serve God and we welcome you to come be part of serving God, and growing in Christ, so that when you stand before Christ, he will say well done thou good and faithful servant!

Come help us and be apart of growing our church so we can even help more people come to Christ, feed the hungry homeless men, woman and children!

I am pleased to provide you with current information regarding The First Baptist Church of Holloway Terrace. Our church is presently sharing its facilities with the House of Prayer, a predominantly Hispanic and African American congregation. The House of Prayer has a membership ranging from 75 to 150 individuals, whereas our congregation consists of 7 to 12 members. Due to financial constraints, we found it necessary to explore alternative arrangements to ensure the continued viability of both congregations. The House of Prayer possesses a significant membership base, including skilled contractors who can perform various maintenance and repair tasks at a reduced cost. This partnership allows them to invest substantial funds in the property with the understanding that they will assume ownership of the building and grounds. We considered this option preferable to abandoning the property, which would likely result in significant deterioration and potentially lead to the building becoming a neglected eyesore in the community. By sharing facilities, Holloway Terrace retains a church presence where the gospel of Christ is preached. Our congregation will continue to meet at the current location until our numbers decline further or, by divine providence, our membership grows, enabling us to secure a new facility. Although this decision was not taken lightly, we believe it was necessary due to the financial burdens associated with maintaining a large, historic building and parsonage, particularly given the substantial fuel oil costs of $1,200 to $1,500 over a two-week period during winter months.
