 A Living Offering
Good morning, church family! We’re so glad you’re joining us for worship today! Whether you’re with us in person or worshiping online, welcome! If you’re watching online, say “Hi!” in the comments and let us know you’re here!
Today, we’re reminded that worship is so much more than what happens inside the sanctuary.
Romans 12:1 says:
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
That word “Therefore” connects everything God has done for us with the way He calls us to live.
Because of God’s mercy, our entire lives can become an offering to Him. Every ordinary act of obedience can become another way of saying, “Lord, my life belongs to You.”
Real worship continues when we leave the sanctuary. It happens in our homes, our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and in the everyday moments when we choose to love, serve, forgive, encourage, and shine the light of Christ.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
God isn't calling us to perfection. He is calling us to transformation.
As Christ shapes our hearts, we begin to move from asking, “What do I want?” to asking, “Lord, how can You use me?”
And never underestimate what God can do through one faithful act of obedience. The Church is strongest when each of us faithfully uses the gifts God has entrusted to us.
So when we leave this sanctuary today, worship isn’t over—it’s just moving with us.
Go and be a living offering.
Offer your life to Christ each day.
Allow His mercy to shape your thoughts.
Use the gifts He has given you.
Love people as He has loved you.
May our lives become living offerings that point others to Jesus.
