Today’s Baccalaureate Service at BCHS was a beautiful and meaningful time as we gathered to honor our graduating seniors.

We were blessed to hear from Mrs. Brooke Lowe, a teacher at BCHS, who recognized the seniors involved in the Rise Up Club. She shared how the group began and highlighted the incredible impact they’ve made.

We also heard an encouraging message from Dr. David Wheeler of Liberty University, who spoke from 2 Peter and challenged our seniors to Learn Right, Love Right, Look Right, Live Right, and Listen Right as they move forward as followers of Christ.

We were honored to have 35 seniors in attendance today including Mt Zion’s own Kaylee Snoddy. What a special group of young people!

As graduation approaches in just a couple of weeks, please continue to lift these students up in prayer—that they would boldly follow the path God has laid before them.

🎓 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18

💍🌿 A Special Celebration on Palm Sunday 🌿💍

What a joyful Palm Sunday it was as we gathered not only in worship, but also in celebration! Following our service, we honored David Davis and Teta Hudgins with a beautiful wedding shower as they prepare to begin their life together.

We shared a delicious meal, sweet fellowship, and a wonderful time celebrating with our church family. It was a blessing to surround them with love, encouragement, and prayers as they step into this new season.

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9

We are so excited for David and Teta and pray God’s richest blessings over their marriage! 💕

Palm Sunday & Easter Recap ✝️🌿

What a beautiful and meaningful weekend in worship and fellowship together!

On Palm Sunday, we gathered as a church family and placed palms on the cross, remembering Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. We were blessed by a powerful message from Lora Snoddy, who shared the significance of Jesus riding on a donkey as the fulfillment of Scripture and reminded us of His command to go and make disciples.

On Easter Sunday, we began the morning at sunrise by the river alongside Calvary Baptist Church, where Ben Brewer shared a special message celebrating our risen Savior. This was followed by a wonderful time of breakfast and fellowship.

Later, we joyfully “flowered the cross,” celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and the new life we have in Him. Randy Christian brought a message from Matthew 28:1–10, reminding us that while we are in the world, we are not to be of it. Jesus does not take second place in our lives—we are either for Him or against Him. Let us not miss the daily opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with others!

He is risen! He is risen indeed! 🌸✨

Our church family mourns the loss of our dear and faithful member, Ronnie Jamerson. We ask that you lift up his wife, Phyllis, and their family in prayer, trusting in the comfort and peace of the Lord.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” — Revelation 21:4

What a beautiful and meaningful Christmas service we shared last night. We reflected on the Chrismon ornaments and their meanings through thoughtful readings by Lisa Flippen, Christy Shumaker, and Brenda McAllister, helping us focus on the symbols of Christ throughout the season.

The Christ Candle was then lit by Ted and Lisa Flippen, reminding us that Jesus is the true Light of the world. We also watched a special presentation narrated by David Jeremiah, “Why the Nativity?”, pointing our hearts back to the reason we celebrate.

Following the service, we enjoyed a time of fellowship and refreshments together, ending the evening with a special birthday cake for Jesus, as Lisa Lightfoot shared its meaning with us.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄❤️

Today we lit the fourth candle of Advent, the Candle of Love, representing the shepherds. It was beautifully lit by Andy and Lisa Shumaker, along with their granddaughter Lizzie.

We were then blessed with a meaningful message from Paul Palmore on the magic, mystery, misery, and hope of Christmas, drawn from Matthew 1:18–2:6.

As we prepare our hearts this season, we’re reminded of an important question: Who do you put your hope in this Christmas?

True hope is found only in Jesus. ❤️

Yesterday we celebrated the Third Sunday of Advent, lighting the Candle of Joy, which points us to the joy proclaimed to the shepherds at Christ’s birth. 🕯️✨
The candle was lit by Dennis and Dorothy Davis.

We were also blessed to have Isaac Lowrance with us, who shared a soul stirring and interactive message on shame—reminding us that God lovingly takes our shame upon Himself and offers us freedom and restoration through Christ.

What a meaningful time of worship as we continue preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus. 💜

North American and International missionaries have been working together since the beginning! 🤝

In 1887, Lottie Moon sparked a movement of generosity for global missions by urging churches in America to support missions work in China where she was serving. Her friend Annie Armstrong helped spread that vision by writing 1,000 letters and rallying Southern Baptist churches to give. ✉️

In 1918, six years after Lottie’s death, Annie suggested the offering be renamed to honor her friend’s legacy. The "Christmas Offering for China" became what we now know as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and it still fuels missions around the world today. 🌎

🙏 This week is the Week of Prayer for International Missions! Share this post as a reminder to pray for missionaries serving with our sister organization, .

Two organizations. One mission. The Great Commission!
