Chaplain Don again.

Solomon started Proverbs with 1:7, fear (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 3:5-6, trust the Lord, don't lean on your own understanding, He will direct your ways! As a believer in Jesus, we are in dwelt by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians says to be filled with the Spirit, and not walk in the flesh. Romans 8:1-10 instruct this results in joy and peace. Trust in the Lord, acknowledge Him, be filled with the Spirit, your life as a believer will change. We pray for you!

Hello from chaplain Don.
Can we start the week with Proverbs 1:7? "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." Fear is not fear !ike driving on icy roads. Fear of the Lord is standing in awe of our God. Genesis 1:1,"In the beginning God..." Upon at creation and see Him at every turn. Wisdom,, used 54 times in Proverbs,, is referring to the Word of God, knowing Him. An interesting fact, Solomon wrote these words hundreds of years ago. Human nature has not changed since Adams fall. Things and culture change, but not the sin nature. That changes when we accept Jesus as our Savior. This verse easy to remember and use daily. Let me hear back from you. Need prayer? I'm here!

In 2015 I was blessed to be part of a team that saw the promise of God become reality. God placed a burden on my heart to begin a ministry to those involved in the trucking industry. In the spring, we began working at the Flying J truck stop in New Caney to provide ministry, support and resources.

In 10 years the The Chapel at 242 has had the opportunity to literally reach across the United States with the gospel and ministry.
With the 10-year anniversary approaching I would love to offer the opportunity to folks who might have a desire and passion for the gospel and the ministry to partner with us.

Next month we will be hosting an open house and informational meeting and would love to have some of you join us. If you'd like to become a chaplain, we will request you be available for a couple hours a week and we'd provide training. The other way you, your family, your church could assist would be with financial support.

The chapel provides chaplain services on a daily basis as well as a Sunday morning service. For more info connect with me.

Happy Easter !!!

“ Now, if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?” First Corinthians 15:12

I read yesterday that Americans will spend $22.4 billion for Easter this year. If Christ has not risen from the grave then we celebrate in vain. But, in verse 20 of chapter 15 the glorious truth of Easter is, “ But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.”

Grumpy and JC led a man named Steve from Lafayette LA to Christ tonight at the chapel. They gave him Dons card, a Bible and info on a church in his town. God is good.
