The Congregational Church of New Canaan

The Congregational Church of New Canaan As a community moved by God’s gracious gifts, we embrace the blessings and wonders of life.

The Congregational Church of New Canaan, in New Canaan, Connecticut welcomes you and invites you to worship with us. We are 2,500 men, women, youth and children with a variety of religious backgrounds, occupations and interests. For over 275 years we have gathered as a family of God’s children in order to experience God’s presence, learn Christ’s ways, and serve our neighbors – all toward the end of making faith a way of life.

Although our traditional youth group programming pauses for summer break, we wanted to offer some fun opportunities for our kids to connect deeper with their faith and stay in touch with their youth group peers! These one-off events are a great way to stay connected to the church or try the youth group for the first time before programming resumes in the fall. All events are for youth in grades K-8, with high school advisors welcome to help lead. For our Mystic Day Trip, we are asking for a $50 suggested contribution. All other events are free. Check your email inbox for details on registration or for more information, email Greer Lyle at [email protected].

Women’s Fellowship Open Play Mahjong🀄️

Join us for a relaxed morning of Mahjong on Wednesday, June 24, from 10:00am–12:00pm in the Parlor. Whether you’re a seasoned player or relatively new to the game, all are welcome to join us for open play and fellowship.
Please note that this is not an instructional session, so participants should have a basic familiarity with Mahjong. If you own a Mahjong set, we encourage you to bring it along.
Ally Dunlap and Anne Gunter will help organize and set up our first gathering. During the session, they will also share information and gauge interest in continuing open play Mahjong gatherings throughout the summer.
Come enjoy some friendly competition, conversation, and connection. No RSVP is required.

Save the Date: Celebration Sunday on June 14
We will celebrate many important spiritual milestones in the life of our youngest church members during the service on Celebration Sunday. All children will be invited to participate in the worship service, and we hope that your family will join us after church for an all-church picnic. We will have outdoor games and activities for all ages! We hope to see you and celebrate a wonderful year of faith formation and fellowship building among our youngest churchgoers.
