Notes from Pastor Scott’s sermon today…I don’t know where you are in life. I don’t know if you’re looking at entering the gate, or traveling somewhere along the pathway. But very truly, these three images of God are helpful to me, The Gate, the Shepherd, and the Host, and I pray they may be helpful to you. If you are exploring the faith, and need to enter into a deeper relationship with God, Jesus is the gate through which you can go for life.
If you are needing guidance, or direction in how to live your life, Jesus is the Guide, the Shepherd. He is there to watch over you, to restore your soul, to help you discern the right path in the way of full and abundant life.
Finally, if you are a weary pilgrim, and need to find a place to lay your head, Jesus is able: God the Host welcomes you to come and find shelter and rest. God has a place for you, and invites you in to be refreshed and treated to a feast of blessing...
