Did you know that the Episcopal Church has a Conscientious Objector registry? Since 1934, the Episcopal Church has recognized “the duty of Christians to put the Cross above the flag and in any conflict of loyalties unhesitatingly to follow the Christ.” All male U.S. citizens are required to register for Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday, but can register as early as 16. Familiarize yourself with the “how to” of registering and consider talking with the teens in your church or family about whether their conscience and religious beliefs may compel them to become CO’s. https://www.episcopalchurch.org/ministries/young-adult-and-campus-ministry/conscientious-objector-registry/
