Today, we are remembering the birth of New Brunswick poet and solider Joyce Kilmer, author of the celebrated “Trees”.

December 6, 1886, 136 years ago today, Joyce Kilmer is born in this house in New Brunswick, NJ. New Brunswick Historical Society worked with the New Brunswick Historical Association and Thinkery & Verse to produce a biography of the poet along with a video tour of Kilmer’s birthplace home. Thinkery & Verse has beautifully presented photos, video, sound clips, and historical text through their website as a tribute to one of our City’s greatest authors.
