Young Divas with Purpose Ministries is a non-profit organization that was founded by Lady Donna Jones on June 27, 2009 with a membership of only 10 young ladies. Young Divas with Purpose is an extensive 11 month program designed to empower our young ladies to “Live by God’s Divine Design”. The ministry provides structured, group partnerships which consist of awesome women who give of their time fo

cusing on the current needs for our young ladies, by creating an environment that fosters a strong commitment to community and Kingdom building. Every year the Ministry presents a major theme for the year that will represent the various workshops that are presented from various speakers. Young Divas with Purpose mission is to educate young ladies in gaining a connection, for some and a reconnection for others with God, with a revelation of what they possess within themselves because of Who they are and Who’s they are. We hope to empower, encourage, enrich, and nurture young girl’s ages 6 to 18, to live a life of abundance while in their youth. To know that they have Purpose and Destiny waiting to be birthed for the world to see and enjoy. The Drive, Imagination, Virtue Victory, and Ambitious in these young Sisters be manifested and not buried under masks that hind their true self and identity. That they propel to Greatness and Know that They Can Do All Things With God On Their Side. That they see their future through a lens of faith and not fear. The ministry has survived many struggles due to location issues, however, God has always provided and the ministry is stronger and united more than ever. The present location for Young Divas with Purpose s at the Rutgers, The State University Campus. Our goal is to encourage and empower participants to develop to their fullest potential and see the vision of their future in a brighter and positive light, despite the obstacles, and challenges before them. The problems confronting these young ladies may differ for each individual, however sometime they are surprisingly similar. Regardless if these issues involve poverty, drugs and alcohol, peer pressure, low-self-esteem, and teen pregnancy. These young ladies need the help of women who have successfully navigated the path from adolescence to adulthood. And we are here to do just that. The concept of the older teaching the younger has somehow gotten lost. Young Divas with Purpose teens need more than advocates. They need mentors! They need God fearing, trained and most of all Committed Adults, who will work with them as they move from their teenage years into adulthood, while forging a new pathway that will help them gain knowledge of their true self-worth. This begins with knowing their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The bible states that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. These mentors use their life experience and thoughts to empower and promote growth in the life of these young divas. We are here to make a different in the lives of any young teen, by being doers of the word and not hearers only...example is the best teacher.

This requires YOU staying true and staying YOU. Your purpose is not limited to your education or career. It's not what other people say, but what God says.
