I never used to, or rather, never give my opinion in public, but today I have witnessed how a city with its assembly-leaders (those who approved this decision) have approved the construction of a factory to grow ma*****na in the city of New Britain. Regardless of the residences that are around this place, and the four schools that are from pre-school to high school. What has been made clear here is that the economic input that this type of business will generate for the city is more important than the well-being of our future generation that is rising. Why build this type of business in an urban location? Why not find an isolated place? Why not in a place where there are no residences or schools? They did not take into consideration how this decision will affect our community.
The decision has already been made, but it is very important that you register to vote in the next elections, which will be this November. You decide who you will choose as the next mayor, and representatives for our city.
Very unfortunate what was approved today, despite the opposition of residents. It was already planned to approve the construction. It was a slap, without having to touch our faces. I was let down by our leader. Our city is very beautiful, great changes and progress have been made, I am very happy with how the city has changed, but what good is it, if this type of business is allowed in our community.
I leave these 2 texts: Luke 21:28-31.
“When these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is near. He also told them a parable: Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
When they already sprout, seeing it, you know for yourselves that summer is near.
So you also, when you see these things happen, know that the kingdom of God is near."
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; that make light darkness, and darkness light; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
