Friday June 26th will be a unique opportunity to gather with 7 of the 8 Minnesota Stakes for a Watch Party of a Tabernacle Choir concert happening at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. You are all invited and encouraged to participate!
Listen carefully, because this is a different type of activity: The Tabernacle Choir is performing a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, a historic outdoor amphitheater in Los Angeles. Though the Tabernacle Choir can’t travel to every location in our worldwide church, they wanted to make a way to share the experience with more members. SO, we are having a watch party at a beautiful outdoor amphitheater, The Hilde Performance Center, where the recorded concert will be streamed for the Minnesota Saints to watch together on a huge screen with big speakers.
We are used to hearing the Tabernacle Choir sing during General Conference, but this event is intended to be more of a party and less of a devotional. We will have yard games, food trucks, and maybe even bounce houses. The fun will begin at 6 pm, with the concert starting at 7 pm and running for about 2 hours. Bring blankets and chairs as there is NO seating at the amphitheater.
The Church has invested significant resources to help this succeed. In our Minneapolis, Minnesota mission alone, the missionaries have been given 30,000 printed invitations to distribute to friends and neighbors. Please invite your own friends and neighbors! The missionaries will share their hard-copy invitations with you! A gathering of all Minnesota stakes hasn’t happened since the temple dedication in the year 2000. Please join us for this special event!
