Springs Community Church

Springs Community Church We help people love and live for Jesus, together. Join us on Sundays at 8:30am and 10:30am! We are a group of imperfect people who have been changed by Jesus.

Our only goal is to help people love and live for Him. If you're looking for a place to grow in your love for Christ, deepen your understanding of His love for you, exist in Biblical community, use your gifts to serve others, and come to know and love your Bible-we would love for you to join us.

We are excited to share that the Springs Community Church playground is now open!
Our hope is that this space is more than just a place to play, but a gathering place where church families and friends can build connection, community, and memories together.

A few things to know:
• The playground is open to the public from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. From time to time, the space may be closed for Springs ministry events. If so, signs will be posted in the parking lot before you enter.
• Bathrooms are available in the Springs Annex during posted office hours.
• You are welcome to enjoy the upstairs deck during your visit.
• Please take a moment to review playground guidelines before entering.
• Most importantly, we hope you have fun!
📍Located at the Springs Annex 876 W San Antonio St

Reflections for Holy Saturday
Whether you're with family, friends, or spending time alone, we invite you to pause and reflect on the silence of Holy Saturday - Jesus waited in the grave so that we might learn to trust in the silence.

Reflections for Good Friday
Whether you're with family, friends, or spending time alone, we invite you to pause and reflect on the weight and waiting of Good Friday, a sacred moment to remember the cross and anticipate the hope to come.

You are invited to our upcoming Holy Week services!
__________________

We hope that these services will be filled with family, friends, neighbors, and even those who may be visiting a local church for the very first time. We encourage you to faithfully invite others, as well as helping us create a hospitable and welcoming space for everyone who walks through the doors.

We’re praying that many will experience the hope of the gospel, maybe even for the first time.

Friday, April 3rd, we will gather at 12:00pm for a Good Friday service to reflect on the sacrifice, humanity and separation that Christ endured on our behalf.

Sunday, April 5th, we will gather together for Easter Services as we celebrate the hope and joy of the resurrection of Christ. We will host services at 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am. Hope to see you there!

As we continue our time in Genesis, tomorrow's message will thoughtfully address the biblical view of intimacy in marriage. While nothing graphic will be discussed, we want to give families with children advance notice.

We believe this topic, and the careful way we will approach it, will be a blessing to our middle and high school students. Our aim is to clearly and thoughtfully describe God's beautiful intention and design for the good gifts He has given us.

Also, a reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins tonight, so set your clocks forward one hour. Kids Ministry will be celebrating the lost hour of sleep with PJs and bedhead!

We can't wait to worship with you tomorrow!

Springs family,
Due to the incoming weather, we have decided to cancel our Sunday morning gathering for January 25.

In lieu of an online sermon, we encourage you to spend time resting and enjoying time with family and friends. As we continue to pursue the Christian practice of Sabbath, we hope you will use this time to slow down and connect with God.

For more on this, please watch the attached video featuring a short message from our Lead Pastor and Elder, John Almquist.

We look forward to gathering with you next Sunday, February 1st as we continue our sermon series in Genesis.

Springs family,

We want to let you know that as of today, we plan to continue gathering together on Sunday morning. While Texas weather can be unpredictable, we also want to acknowledge the real concerns that can come with icy road conditions. Our Elders will continue to monitor the forecast, pray and thoughtfully discern our decision regarding Sunday morning.

We will communicate a final decision by Satuday, January 24th by 7pm regarding whether we will move forward or cancel.

Your safety is our priority. If you are currenlty scheduled to serve Sunday morning and feel uncomfortable committing due to travel conditions, please let your team lead know. We are grateful for you and want you to make the decision that is best for you and your family.

Questions? Please email [email protected].

Reminder, no in-person gathering tomorrow, December 28th!

Each year, on the last Sunday of December, we take a moment to rest and allow our dedicated lay leaders, volunteers, and staff to spend extra quality time with their families. Instead of gathering in person, we will provide you with a teaching from our Men’s Community Director, Garrison Price, that you and your loved ones can enjoy from the comfort of your home tomorrow.

We look forward to meeting again on January 4th at 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM. As we begin the new year, we will begin our new series studying the Old Testament book of Genesis.

Happy New Year!
