The Sanctuary NB

The Sanctuary NB We are gathering a diverse community of ordinary people to follow Jesus in a safe place for belonging, becoming, & believing.

Our community has a new home, literally a house on 1.4 acres for all our gatherings. We have a wonderful room for both our children and another room for our nursery. We, also have a backyard where our Kids can explore and play. We have a fully functioning kitchen for fixing all sorts of meals for our community and for our neighbors. We have a hospitality room and a living room for worship. It is a

wonderful place and we look forward to many moments together in this very special place. All are welcome to attend our community gatherings in- person and if needed on-line.

This is a very sobering report from friends of ours. Please read. Take to heart the request for action.

What can we do as a community to pray regularly for the Nassar family and to act on their behalf?

We end the day with chickens and ducks penned for the night and by gathering a few beautiful flowers beneath a spectacular evening sky. This has been a full day at The Sanctuary NB. We are grateful for all who participated in our community life today. Rest well, dear ones.

We believe this is true and we have reoriented our community toward an old-new expression of Christianity which we believe is a healthier expression of Jesus.

What happens when Christians separate righteousness from justice?

This week on “The Russell Moore Show,” Russell Moore and Charlie Dates discuss how in American Christianity, questions of personal morality and public justice are often treated as though they belong in different categories. Christians may speak confidently about some moral issues while dismissing others as distractions from the gospel or as politics the church should avoid.

Good reminder.

Good reminder.

“A church ceases to be the Body of Christ when it attempts to isolate itself from the world and/or when it seeks its own preservation and protection by excluding those it identifies as "heretics" and "sinners." Messiah Yeshua calls his followers to love, help, and serve others, within the fellowship of his Body but especially others outside of its fellowship--that cannot be done when the church as an institution is practicing isolation and exclusion.”

A Celtic Morning Prayer

Christ we rise today
Knowing that you alone
Know our hearts
You alone can change
Our sadness into joy
Forgive us our shortcomings
Teach us patience
Teach us kindness
Help us to forgive
Those who have injured us
And keep us from injuring others
Keep our way lighted
With your steadfast love

Amen.
