One of our precious Beauty from Ashes widows lost her husband in 2018. Since then, she has experienced the heartbreaking loss of her son in 2024, and on Monday, her daughter passed away.
The grief and loss are unimaginable.
The needs have become far greater than what one ministry alone can carry. This is one of the reasons we are working to expand the Beauty from Ashes Program into churches, because widowhood often brings deep grief and overwhelming secondary losses that many people never see.
Right now, this widow needs support, prayer, and compassionate people willing to help carry some of the burden.
We would love help with connection, support, prayer, and simply surrounding her with love and reminding her that she is not alone and is being held in God’s hands through this unimaginable grief.
We do not believe in a “band-aid” approach to grief and widowhood. So much healing begins through ongoing love, connection, support, and simply knowing you are not alone.
There are also many home projects and practical needs that, as you can imagine, have accumulated through these years of grief and loss, along with occasional meals and ongoing support.
She is a Christian, and we would love to eventually help provide a Celebration of Life, something she was never able to have for her son. Most of her family lives in Alaska, and we would love for others to come alongside her, attend, and help surround her with love, support, and human connection during this incredibly difficult season.
If you have experienced multiple losses in a short amount of time, the loss of a child, or deep grief of any kind, you understand and your ❤️ can help. Often those who have walked through deep pain can help gently carry someone else through theirs. ❤️🙏🦋
