Sunday Recap 🤍
Today we were reminded that following Jesus doesn’t mean we avoid pain — it means we learn how to walk through it differently.
Peter points us back to the way of Jesus: choosing blessing over retaliation, trusting God instead of grasping for control, and continuing to do good even when obedience is costly.
We are badly broken, but deeply loved.
And we were never meant to carry suffering alone. The body of Christ is one of God’s provisions for us in the middle of it — people who pray, encourage, carry burdens, and keep pointing us back to Jesus.
The world will see God in how we handle suffering.
God is redeeming even this.
This week, reach out, let someone in, and remember: you were never meant to carry suffering alone.
See you next Sunday, River City. 🤍
