At some point we must stop following who the world says Christ is. We must meet him at the cross praying repentance, open up his word, and get to know him for ourselves.

Self Control
Galatians 5:22-26 NLT
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

Good morning, good morning! Okay! This post is for the believers, for those who have been born again in love, those who have accepted Christ as their Lord and saviour, who call themselves by His name, Christian. I think we can allllll agree that we are not perfect, and trying our very best to be like Jesus. This morning I wanted to address cheating in our marriages. If we have been born again in love and have the Holy Spirit in us, what kind of fruit is it revealing in our lives? Because the scripture above REVEALS to us that a fruit of the Holy Spirit is SELF CONTROL. When you think about or feel like stepping out on your spouse and actually do it, let's be honest, that is not of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, that is not practicing self control. What does this look like? Is it only physical, no. No it is not. Remember, the only one that comes before our spouse is God, Jesus Christ. When we go to get attention from someone other than our spouse and don't run to God, who has so much attention and love for us, we are not practicing righteousness and we not holding up our name, our identity as Christians. We also need to go to our spouse and address some things, make requests, compromise and come to agreements. Women! The boys in your DM telling you that they can treat you better are a huge distraction and trick of the enemy!! If that makes you feel good, that some other man, maybe an ex, is messaging you for attention, if you like it, then baby you need to reevaluate some things and get some help. Ask yourself, why are they reaching out now???? Because they are on a mission to mess yo life up that's why! Stop giving the enemy your attention and turn to Jesus! He is always there to make ALL THINGS NEW, repent and cleave to your spouse. Let's practice self control and let the other fruits of the Holy Spirit be revealed in our lives and our marriages. Jesus loves you. KW
