Parents, we know it’s hard. Between school, practices, meals and homework on top of that, your day to day life can feel overwhelming.

Oftentimes we get so busy that we lose focus of our calling as parents. We often become burned out because of this non-stop world we live in.

In order for us to be the parent God has entrusted you to be, we need to be in His presence daily. The best thing we can ever do for our kids is to walk with the Lord and let pur kids see that. Our parenting should reflect Jesus because we bear the fruits of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

You don’t naturally live these out by yourself. It requires faith and love towards the Father and obedience to His commands on our hearts. Our kids should see how we love to worship God in every thing we do and it will be impressed upon them.

Spend time rejoicing the Father for His grace towards you. Live out your calling in front of your child. Speak truth into their lives.

Tag a parent you can share this truth with! 💕

God has called you to a holy calling. Not based off of works or talent, but by His own purpose and grace. Live out your calling daily and serve your community

2 Timothy 1:9, “He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.”

♫♪♪ Yes I will, lift You high in the lowest valley
Yes I will, bless Your name
Oh, yes I will, sing for joy when my heart is heavy
All my days, oh yes I will ♫♪♪

Do you say yes to God even in times of doubt? Confusion? Frustration? God is the same God on the mountain as He is in the valley. God works all things out for those who follow Him!

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” - Romans‬ ‭8:28‬

In John 8:1-11, we see the story of a woman being judged for committing adultery. The law stated that adulterers would be stoned to death (Lev. 20:10). But, the law also affirms that both parties should be punished this way, but no one brought the man to Jesus.

The Jewish leaders wanted to trap Jesus by catch him disobeying the law. Would Jesus let her go freely and disobey the law or would He follow through with the law and let a woman die?

What Jesus did next was surprising to everyone. He got down and started writing in the ground. What Jesus wrote is unclear, but it was likely that He was writing the sins of the people in the crowd. Or, Jesus was writing the names of people who were committing adultery. Either way, what Jesus said next dispersed the crowd.

Jesus asked if anyone in the crowd was without sin, they should throw the first stone. As expected, they all left, leaving the woman and Him alone. Jesus told this woman He did not condemn her, nor does He condemn you if you ask for forgiveness!

The good grace of Jesus takes your sin and washes it away. This grace is offered to you, not based on how righteous you think you are (b/c you aren’t) or what you can do for Him. This grace is offered to you to free you from sin and to give this grace to others!

Who can you share this good grace with today?

Wednesday Night Recap: Colossians 3:12-21

If you have been risen with Christ, then pursue holiness because He is holy. This includes how we date, treat others, respect our parents, and everything else. Be authentic. Be real. Be who Jesus has called you to be
