It is easy to run to God when life falls apart. The harder lesson is remembering how much we need Him when everything is going well.

On the difficult days, we pray for strength, direction, healing, and peace. But when the prayer is answered and life becomes comfortable again, we can slowly begin relying on ourselves.

The truth is that every good day is still a gift from God. Every breath, every opportunity, every person we love, and every bit of strength we have comes from Him. We do not outgrow our need for Jesus when life improves.

So pray when you are hurting, but also pray when you are happy. Seek God in the storm, but keep walking with Him when the sky clears. Thank Him for the blessings, ask Him to guide your choices, and invite Him into every ordinary moment.

God is not only our emergency contact. He is our Father, our Shepherd, and the One we need every single day.

“Apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
