Men's Breakfast is a great way to come and get to know other Christian men. At 501 S. 4th St., this Saturday, November 5 at 8 a.m. come for some Blueberry Pancakes cooked specially by Doug Meyer, along with other breakfast goodies, a devotion by Dick McDaniel, and prayer. Not to mention the fellowship! Start your Saturday off right! All men of the church and guests are invited.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday????

Now in its 38th year, Central Baptist Church will hold our annual “Feast of Plenty” on Thanksgiving Day from 12 - 1:30 p.m. in Merriam Hall. THIS IS AN ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER EFFORT in which we offer a FREE traditional Thanksgiving meal to all members of the community.

An army of volunteers sign up to cook, serve, deliver meals, and clean up. This is truly a community wide effort, and we would love for you to consider volunteering in this effort or contributing financially to help us put on this year’s Feast of Plenty. She teaches English, acts as a listening presence, and offers pastoral care to children and families with special needs. Please join us as she brings us a message!

The Pantry has experienced great usage lately. Our current needs include pasta sides, boxed potatoes, chili, soup, beef stew, spaghetti sauce, snacks, cake mix, individual servings of applesauce, instant pudding, and Jell-O. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Men's Breakfast meets this Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8am in Merriam Hall at the Downtown Springfield location (501 S. 4th St.). Besides a full breakfast, a short devotional and a time of prayer and fellowship is enjoyed by all. All men of the church and their guests are invited.

CBC members confirmed Pastor Stang on Sunday, Sept 4th, after a weekend of events during which members met Pastor Tony and his family. We look forward to sharing more about Tony in the coming weeks and introducing the Stang family to Springfield and to you. Join us in welcoming Rev. Stang and his family to CBC!
