For those who may not have heard yet; after a long and faithful fight with cancer Michelle Sorrell went to be with The Lord early Wednesday morning. If this is how you are finding out, we apologize. We have tried to contact as many people as possible before posting publicly.
As a family we have been astounded by the amount of love and support we have recieved these last few days. Two of the most common questions we have gotten is "What about the service?" and "What can I do to help"? This gofundme has been set up for our family to help support with end of life costs and remaining bills for her medical care.

As far as the service- Michelle stated she did not want us to have a funeral, but rather a celebration of her life so we are honoring her in a less traditional way.
Date: April 6th, 2024
Location: New Hope Full Gospel Church
11:30-12:30 Wake: Michelle did not want an open casket, but this will be a dedicated time for those who would like to say their own personal goodbyes.
12:30-1:30 Service: Minister Terry Malone Campbell will do the honors of doing the traditional service. After the service, we have designated a time for those who would like to speak. We are asking that those who take the floor to speak briefly share the positive impact Michelle has had on their lives and/or what she meant to them. This is an expectation we take seriously, as we wish to honor her desire for a "celebration" and give everyone who wishes to speak to have ample opportunity to share.
2:00: "Picnic" lunch: Michelle absolutely loved our annual traditions of family picnics. She loved having good food and spending the day having fun with her loved ones. We'd like to give her one last family picnic. After the service we will move out to the parking lot where we will have chairs, tables, a food truck, and her favorite summer treats: elephant ears and fresh squeezed lemonade. We encourage people to bring their own lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets as we are not sure how many people will be in attendance and we predict we will run out of tables and chairs.
Again, thank you so much for helping us give mom the celebration she wanted.
