A quick reminder for everyone planning to visit the food pantry:

To help keep the pantry safe and running smoothly, we ask that only ONE family member be inside the pantry at a time.

We also ask that small children not come inside the pantry, as our space is limited and can become crowded.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Following these guidelines helps us serve every family as safely and efficiently as possible.

Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us make the pantry a welcoming place for everyone.

Para ayudar a mantener la despensa segura y funcionando sin problemas, les pedimos que solo una familia entre a la despensa a la vez.

Hello neighbors - A Friendly Reminder from the Zion UCC New Baden Food Pantry:

Our mission is to serve our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and fairness. To ensure we can continue helping everyone who needs assistance, we ask that all participants follow the guidelines below. These policies help us distribute our limited resources fairly and continue serving families throughout our community.

Food Pantry Guidelines

• Participants must be residents of New Baden or New Memphis. No exceptions.

• A current electric bill, water/sewer bill, or lease agreement in the applicant's name and a valid photo ID are required as proof of residency. No exceptions.

• Only one person per household may register and receive assistance from the Food Pantry.

• The applicant or a member of the applicant's household listed on the application must be the person picking up food.

• Households may receive assistance once every 30 days. For example, if you visit on May 30, your next eligible visit will be June 30.

• If your next eligible date falls on a weekend or holiday when the pantry is closed, you may visit on the previous business day. This is the only exception to the 30-day policy.

• The Food Pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

¡Hola, vecinos! - Un Recordatorio Amistoso del Banco de Alimentos de New Baden

Nuestra misión es servir a nuestros vecinos con dignidad, compasión y justicia. Para poder seguir ayudando a todas las familias que lo necesitan, les pedimos que respeten las siguientes normas. Estas políticas nos ayudan a distribuir nuestros recursos de manera equitativa y a continuar apoyando a nuestra comunidad.

Normas del Banco de Alimentos

• Los participantes deben ser residentes de New Baden o New Memphis. No hay excepciones.

• Se requiere una factura reciente de electricidad, agua/alcantarillado o un contrato de arrendamiento a nombre del solicitante, junto con una identificación válida con fotografía, como comprobante de residencia. No hay excepciones.

• Solo una persona por hogar puede registrarse y recibir asistencia del Banco de Alimentos.

• El solicitante o un miembro de su hogar incluido en la solicitud debe ser quien recoja los alimentos.

• Cada hogar puede recibir asistencia una vez cada 30 días. Por ejemplo, si visita el 30 de mayo, podrá regresar el 30 de junio.

• Si la próxima fecha de elegibilidad cae en un fin de semana o día festivo cuando el Banco de Alimentos esté cerrado, podrá acudir el día hábil anterior. Esta es la única excepción a la política de 30 días.

• El Banco de Alimentos está abierto los lunes, miércoles y viernes de 9:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m.

Summer Worship Begins Tomorrow! ☀️

Starting tomorrow and continuing through Labor Day weekend, Zion UCC will gather for one worship service at 9:00 am.

During the summer months, there will be no Sunday School, but we look forward to worshiping together as one church family each Sunday morning.

And don't forget to stay tuned for information about our upcoming Rainforest Falls VBS adventure! We can't wait to share all the details with you.

Zion Kids Collection Corner - June Collection

Our Zion kids are collecting items each month to help keep our food pantry stocked, and we'd love your help!

This month's item is dish soap. While it's something many of us use every day without thinking twice, it's also one of those household essentials that can't be purchased with SNAP benefits and can be difficult for families to afford.

If you're out shopping, consider picking up an extra bottle and dropping it off at the Kids Collection Corner in our Gathering Space. Every donation helps support neighbors in our community.

Thank you for helping our kids learn what it means to care for others through simple acts of kindness.

Zion UCC has always been held up by a generous, big-hearted community and right now, we are feeling that love in the most overwhelming (and beautiful) way.

Because of the incredible volume of donations coming in, we need to pause our clothing donations for the next couple of weeks, or until our volunteers can catch up. Our team is working hard behind the scenes, and this short pause will help us get everything sorted and back out where it belongs.

But here’s the fun part… please come shop! TODAY! 12-1:30 and again this evening 5-6:30!

We are absolutely bursting at the seams with treasures, goodies, and unexpected finds just waiting for a new home.

Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your patience. We couldn’t do this without you!
