What a great celebration at the St. John Guild Meeting September 1st, honoring Pastor Bob for all his support of the Guild & all the fun times throughout the years! And special thanks to Guild President Connie Park for such a beautiful tribute & presentation! Love & Blessings to Pastor Bob & Cathy!!

Also special thanks to Sharon Wilson for such a great Quilt Share Presentation at the September Guild meeting!

We were busting at the seams this past Sunday with attendance at the Confirmation Reunion Worship Celebration, and what a wonderful problem to have!!! GOD is GOOD!!! It was wonderful to see so many past confirmation students come to honor Pastor Bob as we near the end of an era!! But we are not done yet!!!

Don't worry, on September 13th we will find a space for you to worship with us!!

We Invite you all to come help us celebrate Pastor Bob and his 37 years of service not only to St John, but to the village of New Athens. His Last worship service will be Sunday September 13th at 10:00am with an open house to follow till 4pm at the Bullpen. We know the impact he has made on this community, and we hope you will help us celebrate him as he and Cathy start this next chapter.

What a wonderful celebration today honoring 37 years of confirmation students and Pastor Bob! There is nothing better than welcoming home so many to worship. Thank you to those who helped organize this special day and to all the confirmands and their families who joined Pastor Bob for worship and the luncheon today.

Grab the family and join us this Tuesday as we travel down the yellow brick road to Messy Church!!! Dinner served at 5:30 with Oz activities 6-7. This event is FREE and open to the entire community! Come and go as time allows! Food, games, crafts, and activates for the entire family!

Stay cool this Saturday and join us in September for Lemon Shake-Ups!

Due to extreme heat warnings this weekend we have made the decision to cancel the August New Athens Community Farmers Market. We do not want our vendors, farmers, or performers, to feel obligated to attend and put their health at risk. We will return Saturday September 19th with live music, fresh produce, baked goods, specialty items, vendors, food trucks, drinks, touch a tractor and a special Ag classroom. We also hope for cooler temps!!
