🍂 August at Silver Heights!

As summer came to a close, the ministry at Silver Heights kept moving! August brought a wonderful mix of ministry, fellowship, and special celebrations as we welcomed The Way Academy, the Clark County Residents Encounter Christ team, and The Church of Christ’s Ladies’ Retreat.

We were also honored to host some incredibly special celebrations—including a 60th wedding anniversary for a couple who first met at Silver Heights Camp! ❤️ We also celebrated a beautiful bridal shower for our director’s sister-in-law.

Behind the scenes, we continued making improvements around camp with renovations to our cabin doors, new chair dollies for the Parnell Center, and even a new vehicle added to our camp fleet!

And there’s more to come! Our August newsletter also introduces our upcoming Discover Dinner on November 6, where we’ll share more about the future of Silver Heights and our vision for what’s next.

What an incredible summer God has provided at Silver Heights!

From Memorial Day through the end of July, our campus was filled with churches, mission teams, youth groups, retreats, and campers gathered to worship, grow, and experience Christian community. We were also blessed to host our Free Annual Camp in partnership with for Christ - Southern Indiana providing children with a life-changing week at camp completely free of charge.

This summer would not have been possible without the faithful support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, staff, and ministry partners. Thank you for helping us provide a place where lives are being changed for Christ.

Summer is in full swing at Silver Heights!

June was a month completely dedicated to ministry as we welcomed Gospel-focused groups from across the region, including Camp Avodah, Residents Encounter Christ, Southeast Christian Church mission teams, Clifton Baptist Church, St. John Vianney, Mizo Christian Church, and many others.

One of the greatest highlights was hosting our Free Annual Camp in partnership with Youth For Christ, where campers experienced a week filled with the Gospel, worship, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Week Six of our summer season was a tremendous blessing as we welcomed Mizo Christian Church to Silver Heights! ❤️

Their week was filled with heartfelt worship, meaningful teaching, and Christ-centered fellowship. It was a joy to witness such a beautiful expression of praise and devotion to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

And we have to mention one more thing... our staff was incredibly spoiled with some of the best food we've ever had at Silver Heights! 🍽️😊

Thank you, Mizo Christian Church, for allowing us to be a small part of your week. We are grateful for your partnership in ministry and for the joy, encouragement, and love you brought to our camp. We look forward to welcoming you back again!

Week Four of our summer season brought back some familiar faces as we welcomed Clifton Baptist Church for the 4th year in a row! ☀️

This group always brings an incredible energy and fun to camp, making them one of the highlights of our summer each year.

Of course, one of the most anticipated events of the week was the annual Bubble Soccer Tournament—arguably the most competitive (and entertaining!) competition of the summer. ⚽😂

After an intense battle for camp glory, the coveted 🥦 Golden Broccoli Trophy 🥦 was awarded to this year's champions, the Blue Sharks! 🏆

Thank you, Clifton Baptist Church, for another amazing week of ministry, laughter, and memories. We are grateful for your continued partnership and look forward to seeing you again next summer!

Annual Camp 2026: Wild

What an incredible week it has been! Together, we welcomed 76 campers who were served by 22 camp staff members, 68 volunteers, and supported by 9 generous sponsors. Most importantly, we witnessed God moving in powerful ways throughout the week.

As campers explored the themes of God's Wild Power, Wild Love, Wild Faith, Wild Purpose, and Wild Life, we saw lives impacted by the truth of the Gospel. One of the greatest highlights of the week was celebrating 7 baptisms as campers publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ. These moments remind us why camp ministry matters and why we are so passionate about creating opportunities for young people to encounter God.

Of course, there were also countless memories made through games, worship, activities, theme nights, friendships, and plenty of laughter. From Cowboy Night and Minute to Win It challenges to scavenger hunts, movie night, and an unforgettable talent show, this week was filled with moments that campers will remember for years to come.

This camp is only possible because of the support of individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations who believe in investing in the next generation. Day 5 marked the conclusion of an incredible week at Annual Camp, and what a wonderful way it was to finish!

Yesterday, we wrapped up our camp theme by exploring the Wild Life that God has for us. Campers learned that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, nothing can separate us from God's love. Sin could not stop Him. Death could not defeat Him. Because of Christ's victory, we can live with confidence knowing that His love is unstoppable and that nothing can separate us from Him.

Throughout the week, campers have learned about God's Wild Power, Wild Love, Wild Faith, Wild Purpose, and finally, the Wild Life that is available through Jesus. It has been a joy to watch them engage with these truths and grow in their understanding of who God is and how much He loves them.

Special thank you to Savvy's Scales & Tails for the Reptile show. The campers absolutely adored it!

We ended the evening with a talent show that we will not soon forget! Campers and leaders alike shared their unique talents, creating an evening full of laughter, encouragement, and memorable moments. It was the perfect celebration to cap off an amazing week together.
