Mission Trip 2026 is almost here! ✨

✅ Prayer journals are ready.
✅ Chaperone binders are ready.
✅ Hearts are open and ready.

As our youth and adult chaperones prepare to answer God’s call, we ask our parish family to keep them in your prayers in the days leading up to and throughout our mission trip.

This year’s theme comes from Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I; send me.’” ⛰️

We have an incredible group preparing for this journey to Charleston, West Virginia. Some are counting down the days with excitement, eager to serve and experience something new. Others are feeling a little nervous as they step outside their comfort zones, spend time away from home, or embark on their very first mission trip. Wherever they are on that spectrum, each one has courageously said “yes” to God’s invitation. 😊

Please pray that God will calm anxious hearts, strengthen their faith, bless our chaperones, keep everyone safe in their travels, and help each person encounter Christ through those they serve and those serving alongside them.

Thank you for supporting and praying for our mission team. Your prayers truly make a difference.

Here am I, Lord. Send me. ❤️🙏

Virtues, EXPLAINED!

Gratitude pays a kind of “moral debt.” Children owe it to their parents; citizens owe it to their country. The Eucharist is the most perfect act of gratitude, wherein God is acknowledged as the source of all good.

This weekend we will hold our annual collection for the Education of Future Archdiocesan Priests. This collection supports our seminarians currently studying for future priestly ministry in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Your contributions help cover the expenses involved in the education and formation of these future priests. We anticipate having more than 30 seminarians this coming fall, including over a dozen men who will be entering formation. We are blessed to have these men in formation in two seminaries right here in the Archdiocese, Bishop Simon Brute College Seminary and Saint Meinrad Scholl of Theology.

The average cost per seminarian for educational expenses is about $55,000 per year. Funds from the United Catholic Appeal and proceeds from designated endowments support the formation of our seminarians, but these sources do not fulfill the entire need. All donations to this special annual collection will go directly toward the payment of these expenses.

Please keep our priests and seminarians, and for a generous increase in vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life in your prayers.

This weekend, we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi.

May this beautiful feast draw us deeper into our love for Christ, who is truly present in the Eucharist.

Congratulations to Doug and Connie Andres and Phil and Pat Cade on celebrating 50 years of marriage! 💛

This evening at Mass, Fr. Doug offered a special blessing in honor of their Golden Wedding Anniversaries.

Thank you for the beautiful witness of faith, love, and commitment that you have shared with your families, our parish, and our community for five decades. May God continue to bless you with many more happy years together!

Virtues, EXPLAINED!
We see perfect obedience shown by Christ amidst his agony in the garden. His human will dreads what will come, but his divine will, which is never at odds with his human will, submits to the Truth: “Yet, not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 26:39)
