What a beautiful morning at The Welcome Table. ❤️

We are so grateful for everyone who gathered with us today. We shared an incredible meal, told stories about Jesus, sang hymns, worshiped together, and gathered around the table as one community.

We were so full that we had to add tables and chairs to make room for everyone!

And yet, that is the beautiful thing about gathering around God’s table: there is always enough room.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this morning possible and to everyone who pulled up a chair. We are grateful for you. 🍞☕️❤️

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Yesterday we talked about how this commandment assumes something important: we are called to love ourselves, too.

Scripture tells us we are created in God’s image and called beloved — not worthless, broken, or unlovable.

Maybe learning to receive God’s love for ourselves is part of learning how to love our neighbors well.

Today during our Children’s Moment, we read I Am God’s Dream by Matthew Paul Turner.

Sometimes the books we read to children are the messages adults need to hear, too.

One of the more powerful lines in it says, “I am God’s child. I’m silly and WILD. I’m one of the billions of reasons God smiles.”

So, let this be your reminder: You are God’s child. You make God smile. And you are part of God’s big, beautiful dream for this world.

In Matthew 16, Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”

Peter gives his answer—but what if Jesus’ question doesn’t have to have only one answer.

The names we use for Jesus — Messiah, Savior, Teacher, Lord, Friend — can mean different things to us at different moments in our lives. And maybe that’s part of the beauty of the question: we get to keep answering it.

The Welcome Table is back!

On Sunday, August 30th, we’re gathering around the table for brunch church — a chance to worship, share a meal, and experience church a little differently.

We do this because sometimes we encounter Jesus best around a table. This worship is inspired by the way the early church gathered in their homes to share meals and their lives.

We tried this first in April, and now we’re doing it again — except this time with a new story, new conversations, and (of course) a new brunch menu!

Come hungry. Come curious. Come ready to share.
We’d love to have you at the table! 🙏🏼🍽️🙌🏼
