A Message from Our President

We are now pressing forward as we move toward our endeavors in doing the work of the ministry. We should all press toward the mark of the high calling of Christ Jesus. If we continue as servants of God and obey His commandments, we shall one day receive that glorious crown from on high, and I will hear Him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” Matthew 25:21

It’s Not About Us, But it’s all about Him.

Dear NBCA Family and Friends,

Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. (NBCA) is grateful for the faithful support of our churches, associations, state conventions, pastors, and individual supporters. Your generosity enables us to carry out our mission of evangelism, Christian education, leadership development, missions, and community outreach throughout our Convention.

As we approach the 2026 NBCA Congress and continue expanding our ministry efforts, I am asking every church, association, state convention, pastor, and individual supporter to make your full annual Global Impact Vision Expansion (GIVE) Program payment during the month of June.

Making your annual commitment now will provide the resources needed to strengthen our work with youth, children, and young adults. Through discipleship, leadership development, Christian education, missions, and mentoring opportunities, we are investing in the next generation of Kingdom leaders. These young people are not merely the future of the church, they are an important part of the church today.

In addition, receiving annual GIVE commitments this month will help ensure a strong and impactful 2026 NBCA Congress. Your support will help provide quality worship experiences, leadership training, educational opportunities, ministry resources, and fellowship that strengthen churches and communities across our Convention.

ANNUAL GIVE COMMITMENT LEVELS:
We respectfully ask that each constituent complete its annual GIVE commitment during the month of June:

Individuals, Pastors, Ministers, and Friends: $600
Local Churches : $1,500
District Associations: $1,800
State Conventions: $1,800

Every gift matters. Every commitment strengthens the mission of the NBCA. Every contribution helps us reach and develop children, youth, and young adults while advancing the work of Christ through our Convention.

Mail Contributions To:
NBCA Office of the Treasurer’s
Rev. Dr. F.D. Sampson
PO Box 21219
Houston, TX 77226-1219

I ask that you prayerfully and generously respond during the month of June by submitting your full annual GIVE commitment. Together, we can provide the resources necessary to support the ministries of today and prepare the leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you for your faithful partnership, your prayers, and your commitment to the Kingdom work of the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. May God continue to bless you abundantly as we work together to advance His Kingdom.

Sure of Eternal Life,
Dr. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr.

MOTHER'S DAY GREETING
To our esteemed President Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. and his lovely wife, Sis. Matilda Tolbert, my wonderful husband and Pastor, 2nd Vice President Darwan T. Lazard, the distinguished NBCA leadership team & staff, my dear sisters of the Ministers’ Wives & Widows Auxiliary, other women of faith, and the entire family of The National Baptist Convention of America International, Incorporated, I greet you in the Mighty and Matchless Name of Jesus, with heartfelt love and gratitude on this blessed Mother’s Day.

Today, we pause to honor the strength, sacrifice, and spiritual influence of mothers who have nurtured not only families, but also the Body of Christ. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 31:28 KJV, “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Mothers are special vessels of God’s grace, called to pour into others even when their own strength is tested. It is the prayers, patience, and perseverance of Godly mothers that continue to shape generations and uphold the very fabric of our conventions, churches, and communities.

As a mother of adult children and a first-time grandmother of a 5-month-old, I know our profound impact on family and generational faith! As a daughter whose mother is resting in her grave, I am grateful for the love and faith I received and am committed to continue the legacy and heritage of a strong family and Godly faith.

As we celebrate this special occasion, I encourage every mother and mother-figure to remember that your labor is not in vain. Whether biological, spiritual, or mentoring, our role carries eternal significance. We are often the first teacher of faith, the quiet intercessor in times of trouble, and the steady voice of wisdom in moments of uncertainty. Even when our work goes unnoticed by others, God sees every sacrifice and honors every act of love. Let us continue to stand firm, knowing that the seeds we sow today will yield a harvest of righteousness in due season.

On this Mother’s Day, may God refresh our spirit, renew our strength, and reward our faithfulness. May we each find joy in the lives we have touched and peace in knowing that our influence reaches far beyond what we can see. I pray that you are celebrated not only today, but every day, for the invaluable role you play in advancing God’s Kingdom. Happy Mother’s Day to each of you - may you continue to walk in grace, dignity, and divine purpose.

Prayerfully,
Sister Justina M. Lazard
