# # August 20 — God Restores Your Peace of Mind
**Scripture:**
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:7
A troubled mind can make even ordinary days feel heavy. Repeated thoughts, unanswered questions, and imagined outcomes may continue circling until peace feels impossible to reach.
God sees the battles taking place within your thoughts.
He does not promise that every question will be answered immediately, but He does promise a peace greater than human understanding. His peace can remain even when circumstances are unresolved because it is rooted in His presence, not in perfect conditions.
Scripture says that God’s peace will guard your heart and mind. Like a watchman standing at the entrance, His peace helps protect you from being overtaken by fear, anxiety, and confusion.
This does not mean troubling thoughts will never return. It means you can bring them back to God each time they arise. Through prayer, truth, and surrender, He teaches your mind to rest where worry once ruled.
You do not have to solve every future possibility today. You can release what you cannot control and trust that God is already present in every tomorrow.
Invite Him into your thoughts today. Let His truth become louder than fear and His peace settle over every unsettled place within you.
**Prayer:**
Father, restore peace within my mind. Quiet every anxious thought and help me release the questions I cannot answer. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and teach me to focus on what is true. Replace fear with trust and confusion with the steady assurance of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
**Today’s Reminder:**
God’s peace can guard the thoughts that worry tries to control.
