There are days when God feels close—and days when He doesn’t. But our feelings don’t determine His faithfulness. God is still present, still good, and still keeping every promise He has made. When you can’t feel Him, you can still trust Him. Hold on to what God has promised, even when your feelings tell you otherwise. Keep trusting. God hasn’t changed. Today’s challenge: Don’t let your feelings have the final say. Choose one promise of God, hold on to it, and live like you believe it.

Before there was a federal holiday, there was God’s example of work and rest. From the very beginning, God showed us that work has purpose and rest has value. Both are gifts, and both are part of the rhythm He created for us. Today, be thankful for the work God has given you, enjoy the people around you, and give yourself permission to rest. You were never meant to run nonstop. Happy Labor Day!

Prayer and hard work go hand in hand. Pray like everything depends on God, then get up and work like God has given you something important to do. Whether you’re serving at church, helping someone, raising a family, or simply doing your everyday work faithfully, none of it is wasted when it’s done for the Lord. “You know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58. What are you praying about AND working toward today?

Faith isn’t just believing God exists—it’s living like you believe Him. Even the devil knows who Jesus is. Real faith moves us to action: loving people, serving others, obeying God, and putting His Word into practice. We don’t want a faith that just talks—we want a faith that’s alive! James tells us: “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” — James 2:17. What does putting your faith into action look like for you today?

Prayer doesn’t always feel natural at first. It can feel awkward, clumsy, or like you don’t know what to say—but keep praying. The more you talk with God, the more natural it becomes and the stronger your prayer life grows. God isn’t looking for perfect words; He wants your heart. What can you talk to God about today?

Let’s face it—we worry. We get afraid. We anticipate outcomes before they ever happen and let the “what ifs” take over. But worry doesn’t have to have the final word. Pray, trust God, and thank Him for what He is going to do. You may not see the answer yet, but God is already working. What are you trusting God with today?
