Rooted Wednesdays | Rooted in Fellowship

Tonight was a beautiful reminder that church is more than a place we attend—it is a people we belong to.

Around tables, across generations, we shared food, conversation, laughter, stories, and faith. This is part of what it means to be Rooted in Fellowship: making room for one another, learning each other’s stories, and growing together as the family of Jesus.

What a beautiful Sunday!

Today we celebrated so many signs of God at work in our church family:

Our Choir returned from summer break Downtown.

4 people joined our church in membership.

Our 3rd graders received their Bibles and then helped serve Communion to our church family.

And tonight, we celebrated 5 baptisms!

From children receiving the Scriptures, to new members saying “yes” to this community, to people entering the waters of baptism—today was a reminder that God is forming something beautiful among us.

We are excited for where God is leading us, and thankful to be ROOTED together in Christ.

Honoring Our Past. Growing Our Future.

ROOTED begins this Sunday.

For nearly 200 years, the people of Neosho United Methodist Church have faithfully asked one question:

"How do we respond to the needs of our community?"

The Rooted Initiative is our generation's response.

Over the next four weeks, we'll journey together through a new sermon series, intergenerational gatherings, daily devotionals, and prayer as we seek God's vision for the future of our church.

This isn't simply about renovating a building.

It's about creating spaces where people can experience God, imitate Jesus, and discover they are deeply loved for generations to come.

Join us this Sunday as we begin.

ROOTED: Honoring Our Past. Growing Our Future.

Last night was one of those moments our students will remember for a long time.

Our students joined nearly 700 other United Methodist youth in worship, hundreds of voices singing together—without a stage, just the Church lifting one voice to God.

In a world that often feels loud and divided, this is a beautiful reminder that the Holy Spirit is still moving in the next generation.

Take a moment to watch this video. Turn the volume up. It’s a glimpse of the hope God is raising up.
