48 years ago, Bob Pierce went home to be with the Lord. Dr. Bob was my friend, mentor, and the founder of Samaritan's Purse—He was one of a kind. He taught me so many important things that have impacted the way we work around the world. After being with suffering children on an island in Korea, he wrote inside his Bible: “Let my heart be broken by the things that break the heart of God.” That is still my prayer today—and I hope it will be yours too!

Sunday Service Reminder: Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" What a Lord that we can have joy in Him always. It is a Christians strength that comes from the joy He gives us. The knowledge that we will never be separated from Him. Come join us in praising our wonderful Lord we serve! Everyone welcome!

Sunday school classes start at 9:30AM with our service beginning at 10:30AM. Praise service will be led by Jeff Patterson and our talented praise team. God's word will be led by our pastor Dr. Phillip McClendon. Feel free to join us in the sanctuary, or via our "drive in" service on the parking lot. Just tune your car radio to 1200AM. Sunday Service Reminder: Have you ever been asked what type of church do you like? Big, small, etc. Today it hit me as I was reading, the answer is in Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." What an invitation from Jesus. To be where He is, to find comfort from Him, and to rejoice with those around us to Him. That's my church, the one I long for, not just the building but the people. It doesn't need to be on a sign; you see it in God's people. That is the church we aspire to be. Come join us in praising our wonderful Lord we serve! Everyone welcome!

Congratulations to all the children going back to school today! We are praying for a safe and wonderful year of love and learning ahead. Our prayers are with each and every one of God's gifts and with those who take on the responsibility to educate, nurture, and protect our societies greatest hope! May God watch over and bless each and every one!

Event reminder: Just a quick reminder that this Wednesday at 6PM we will be having a church potluck dinner at Hilldale to celebrate the youth and children's return to school! The church will be providing the meat and potatoes, if you like bring a side or dessert!

There will also be a waterslide and bounce house for the kids, or those of our adults that are more daring!! Come have some fun and celebrate with us! All are welcome!!

Autumn rain in Scripture symbolized God’s blessing tied to obedience; today, it reminds us to trust His timing and provision. His love and mercy are to see us prosper and grow.
