We are so proud to have one of our very own serving as a Board Member of the Kansas Methodist Foundation! Thank you for all the ways you serve God and the church!
We’re excited to welcome Dennis Depew to the Kansas Methodist Foundation Board!
Born and raised in Neodesha, Dennis brings more than four decades of legal experience, including 32 years as managing partner of his family’s law firm. In 2015, he was asked to serve as head of the Civil Litigation Division in the Kansas Attorney General’s office and now leads the southeast Kansas office of Kansas Legal Services, providing critical support to low-income Kansans.
With a deep commitment to his community, Dennis has been actively involved in a number of nonprofits, serving on the boards of several mission-driven foundations. He has also helped lead and establish local foundations and scholarship programs that have opened doors for generations of Neodesha students.
An active member of a small-town United Methodist church and a strong advocate for rural communities, Dennis is especially passionate about supporting small churches and understands the challenges they face now and in the future.
Rev. Dr. Dustin Petz, KMF President and CEO, shared that Dennis’ background in nonprofits and endowments — along with his roots in southeast Kansas — brings a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to the board.
“Dennis has a strong understanding of the legal side of stewarding donor-restricted gifts, shaped by his work with the Kansas Attorney General’s Office,” Dustin said. “He knows our ministry well and has deep connections across southeast Kansas. I’m honored to have him join the board and help strengthen the Foundation’s impact for years to come.”
