When I was newly married and my mom told my Texan husband we were having bBQ for dinner….he clenched his fist down and yelled “yes!!!!!!”….
Like a little boy finding out the TRuth on Christmas morning after opening up his stuffed puppy….
Come down to Assumption high school tomorrow night any time after 5:30 and grab a plate and a drink at the very least!
If you get tickets today, a 32 hour slow smoked BBq pork butt plate with my “homemade” Mac n cheese, beans and a Coleslaw crafted and loved into the perfect accompaniment to a meal cheaper than a single Big Mac with a half dollar sized piece of mystery meat.
Put an RSVP in the comments and I’ll lock you in at today’s prices if you get there tomorrow while it lasts.
It’s a barn dance too! Stay a while after you eat and do some line dancing called out by a professional caller….looking stupid together is literally my favorite thing human.
If you need a drink or two to loosen the fear of looking dumb then bring cash for the bar!!
If you decide you just can’t hack the fear of the dance floor next to the 5yr old crushing it, and the random guy with a new hip, hitting every step…

Dine and dash or stay to hang, come after dark to wallow in the sorrows of a bad shot or come grab a cold beer to tell my dad about a clean shot through the heart of beautiful buck…(my mom will be tending her Cole slow and getting her inner Martha Stewart out on decor for a gymnasium-turned barn).
