Ruth Chapter 4

-Boaz offers Ruth and her property to the closest relative (as is their custom).

-Vs 13 The closest relative said, "I cannot redeem it for myself, because I would jeopardize my own inheritance. Redeem it for yourself; you may have my right of redemption, for I cannot redeem it."

- God's plan is revealed through verse 13. Boaz was meant to be with Ruth. The blessing of Ruth being redeemed, led to more blessings. God's plan is compounding. He never stops moving. This lineage eventually leads to King David and then later on to Jesus. Without Boaz redeeming Ruth, I wouldn't be able to meet you in heaven someday.

Reading Ruth Chapter 3:

-Ruth does as Naomi says and makes her way to Boaz at the threshing floor.

-vs. 13 Remain this night, and when morning comes, if he will redeem you, good; let him redeem you. But if he does not wish to redeem you, then I will redeem you, as the Lord lives. Lie down until morning.”

Wait. Ruth waited long after her husband died. Ruth waited to go to the threshing floor until the time was right. Ruth waited at Boaz' feet until he woke. Ruth waited until morning. Then Ruth waited for Boaz to get an answer from the other man.
Her obedience to Naomi, led her to small blessings. She was treated with respect from Boaz that night and she received 6 measures of barley the next morning. The small blessings that she received that night and the next morning would later lead to more blessings.
When we don't notice the small blessings such as respect and necessities to live, we sometimes fail to believe that God is blessing us and will continue to bless us.

Fear can cripple your growth. If you believe the words of the devil, you will find yourself stuck in constant worry and self doubt.
Instead, look to Christ! Look at what He says about you! Look in His word! Look what He has done for you! His love for you is not rooted in your failures or your successes. He chose you before you were formed; Before you ever had a chance to earn it. He knew you and all that you would do. His love and grace covers all of it. You can never do enough to earn it, because it is freely given to you.
When fear starts to creep in, praise God for the way He has covered you. Remember all that He delivered you from. Know that there are things you never had to go through because He has shielded from the devil's schemes. Praise Him in times of joy, times of trouble, and every time in between! Actively rest in His love and grace when your world slows down. Do not fear.

It is important to grasp the truth that the source of power is the Holy Spirit. Power does not stem from within us, but from above. ‘…when the holy spirit comes on you.’

"So many of us live our lives trying to please others to find acceptance and validation. What we are really searching for is our identity and the confidence that comes from knowing it, but we are searching for it in the wrong place....
Our identity is not found in our accomplishments or failures. It is not found in the people we spend our time with, or even in the thoughts we have of ourselves. It is found in Him. The unchanging, all-powerful, creator of our souls. He already knows everything about you and He still loves you. He knows your secret sins, fears, worries, and thoughts and He still accepts you for who you are. The very thing we have been searching for in others, we can find in Him..."

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37 NASB

"One proven method of choosing him is to strip away worldly comfort, strip away predictability and self-sufficiency . . . and intentionally move into situations we can’t handle on our own. Jesus sent his disciples into such situations: “I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves” (Luke 10:3). He told them to travel light and resist taking anything that could provide comfort, predictability, self-sufficiency: money, extra clothing, extra stuff (Luke 10:4). They had to rely on him. And they returned full of joy (Luke 10:17). Because they’d been willing to move, in faith, into risk and discomfort, they got to spend precious days with God."

"If you want to pick up the pace in your pursuit of Jesus, then start by stripping off the sin that is weighing you down. This could be ending a bad relationship, talking to a leader about your addiction, forgiving someone who hurt you in the past, or asking your parents forgiveness for the way you have been treating them. All of these things, whether big or small, add weight to our lives and slow us down in our pursuit of Jesus."
