Well, Old Man Winter did not comply with our hopes. All available information suggests that our most prudent action for the safety of our people - Texan to the bone and completely unprepared for water turning into a hard, slippery substance - that we should cancel tomorrow's services.

We would however encourage you to take time tomorrow and engage in family worship. We have put together an Order of Worship that you can enjoy at home, complete with worship music and a sermon.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in the regular places after tomorrow. Please reach out if you have a need during this time.

We wanted to reach out with regard to the bad weather forecast this weekend. We know numerous churches have already announced cancellations.

We very well may have to do the same, but want to do so only if necessary, and wish to leave room for the possibility that we may be able to still meet without threat. Thus, we want a bit more time before making an official call.

To that end, please be sure to check the church website (FBCneedville.org), page, and/or your email Saturday evening. We are hopeful for the possibility that if things are going to be less dire that it seems now, we’ll know by then. If we are still uncertain about things, then we’ll make the call to cancel all or part of our Sunday activities as seems proper.

Obviously, each of us must make decisions for ourselves and our unique situations. We understand that some have longer and/or more difficult drives and/or other situations related to having to deal with freezing weather at home and/or at your place of work. We understand and respect everyone’s conscience in this matter.
We’ll update Saturday evening – around 7pm.
