✝️ THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL

There are so many things competing for our attention every single day. Responsibilities. Worries. Schedules. Heartache. Expectations. The noise of the world can become so loud that sometimes we lose sight of what matters most.

But Paul brings us back to the very center of our faith:

Christ died for our sins.

Not because we had earned His love.
Not because we had everything figured out.
Not because we were perfect.

He died because He loves us.

The cross reminds us that God saw every mistake we would make, every failure we would carry, every season when we would wander, every doubt we would wrestle with—and He still chose us.

Jesus willingly carried what we could never carry ourselves.

Our sin.
Our shame.
Our guilt.
Our brokenness.

And because of Him, none of those things have to be the end of our story.

Sometimes we make faith complicated. We think we need the perfect words, the perfect prayer life, or the perfect understanding before we can come close to God. But the Gospel begins with something much simpler:

Jesus loved us enough to give His life for us.

So today, come back to the cross.

When you feel unworthy—remember the cross.
When you feel ashamed—remember the cross.
When you wonder if God still loves you—remember the cross.
When life feels heavy—remember the cross.

The cross is not a symbol of how good we are.

It is the reminder of how good God is.

And that is the truth we are called not only to receive, but to carry with us and share with others.

❤️ Christ died for us. Christ loves us. And because of Him, there is always hope.

🌟 LIVE NATIVITY PLANNING BEGINS! 🌟

It may feel early, but before we know it, one of the most special and treasured traditions at Wesley will be here—our Live Nativity! ❤️

Join us Thursday, September 10th at 6:00 PM as we begin planning for this year’s Live Nativity!

This event holds such a special place in the hearts of our church family and our community. Each year, we have the beautiful opportunity to come together and share the story that changed the world—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. ✨

And it takes a church family working together to make it happen!

Whether you have creative ideas, suggestions from years past, want to help with planning, decorating, costumes, animals, hospitality, setup—or simply have willing hands and a heart ready to serve—we would LOVE for you to join us!

Every idea matters. Every helping hand matters. And when we all come together, we can make this year’s Live Nativity one of our most meaningful yet. ❤️

🎄 Live Nativity Planning Meeting

💛 COME LOVE ON OUR LITTLEST DISCIPLES! 💛

Wesley Methodist Church is looking for caring, dependable, and loving individuals to join our Nursery Team! 🧸✝️

We are currently HIRING nursery workers for Sundays and Wednesdays.

Our nursery is so much more than childcare. It is often one of a child’s very first experiences with their church family—a place where they can feel safe, loved, welcomed, and cared for while their families worship and grow in their faith.

Those little smiles, tiny hands, sweet hugs, and sometimes even a few tears are all part of a ministry that truly matters. ❤️

If you have a heart for children, enjoy caring for little ones, and would love the opportunity to serve our church families while earning some extra income, we would love to hear from you!

There is something incredibly powerful in these words of Jesus: even the grave cannot silence His voice.

We live in a world where so many things feel final. Loss feels final. Goodbyes feel final. Brokenness can feel permanent. And there are seasons when darkness seems to have the last word.

But Jesus reminds us—it doesn’t.

Death does not have the final word. Jesus does.

The same Savior who spoke life, hope, healing, and forgiveness during His earthly ministry promises that a day is coming when His voice will reach even beyond the grave.

For those who belong to Christ, this gives us a hope that reaches far beyond our circumstances today. Our faith is not simply about making difficult days easier—it is anchored in the promise of eternal life with Him.

Maybe today you’re grieving someone you love. Maybe you’re carrying fear about the future. Maybe life has reminded you just how temporary everything around us really is.

Hold tightly to this truth:

Jesus is still Lord.
His promises still stand.
His voice still brings life.
And our hope does not end at the grave.

So let us live today with eternity in our hearts—loving more deeply, forgiving more freely, serving more faithfully, and sharing Jesus while we have the opportunity.

One day, every earthly voice will grow quiet.

But His voice will still be heard. ❤️✝️

🌷 WOW — Women of Wesley 🌷

Ladies, we would love for you to join us this Tuesday, September 8th at 9:30 AM in the Parlor for a beautiful morning of fellowship, faith, and growing together in God’s Word. 💕

📖 We will continue our book study, “A Woman’s Walk With God,” with Chapter 3: “Offering the Sacrifice of Joy.”

Joy isn’t always found because life is easy. Sometimes, joy is a choice we make in the middle of the hard days—a choice to trust God, praise Him, and remember His goodness even when our circumstances aren’t what we hoped they would be.

Whether you’ve been part of WOW for years, have just started coming, or have never joined us before, there is always a seat for you. ❤️ You don’t have to have it all together, and you don’t have to know anyone—just come as you are!

Come enjoy a morning surrounded by women who are learning, encouraging one another, laughing together, praying together, and walking alongside one another in faith.

🌸 All women are welcome—we would truly love to have you!

There are moments in life when God can feel far away.

Maybe we’ve wandered. Maybe we’ve made mistakes we’re ashamed of. Maybe life has become so heavy that we don’t even know how to pray anymore. We may wonder, “How could I possibly find my way back to God?”

And then we are given this beautiful truth: Jesus.

Jesus is the bridge between our brokenness and a holy God. We don’t have to earn our way to Him. We don’t have to clean ourselves up first. We don’t have to have the perfect words, the perfect past, or a perfect life.

We simply come to Jesus.

He came for the hurting.
He came for the lost.
He came for the weary.
He came for the sinner.
He came for you and for me.

Through His life, His sacrifice on the cross, and His resurrection, Jesus made a way for us to know God personally—to receive forgiveness, grace, hope, and eternal life.

And perhaps someone needs this reminder today: there is no distance you have traveled that Jesus cannot reach.

If you’ve been away from God, come back.
If you’re carrying guilt, bring it to Him.
If your heart is hurting, bring Him the broken pieces.
If you don’t know what to say, simply whisper His name.

Jesus.

He is our Savior. Our hope. Our mediator. The One who made a way when we could never make one ourselves.

We don’t have to find our own way to God.

Jesus already made the way. ❤️✝️

❤️ Wishing You a Blessed Labor Day! ❤️

Today, we pause to recognize and give thanks for the hard work, dedication, and service of so many.

To those who work long hours, those who serve quietly behind the scenes, those who care for others, those who build, teach, protect, lead, provide, and give so much of themselves each day—today we honor and appreciate you.

We also remember that even in the busyness of life, God calls us to rest. ❤️

Our prayer today is that you are able to slow down, breathe a little deeper, spend time with those you love, and enjoy the blessings God has placed around you.

🙏 Lord, bless every hardworking hand and every weary heart today. Give rest to those who are tired, strength to those who must continue working, protection to those traveling, and peace to every home. Remind us to be thankful for the work we are able to do and for the people who faithfully serve our families and communities each day. May Your love surround us, Your peace fill us, and Your presence go with us wherever we may be. Amen.

From our Wesley family to yours, we wish everyone a safe, relaxing, blessed, and meaningful Labor Day! ❤️

🇺🇸 Labor Day Reminder 🇺🇸

Just a friendly reminder that the Wesley Methodist Church office will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

As we enjoy this day of rest, we pray that each of you has a safe, peaceful, and relaxing Labor Day surrounded by the people you love. ❤️

🙏 Lord, thank You for the blessing of work and for the gift of rest. Watch over our church family, our community, our first responders, and all those who continue to work and serve others this Labor Day. Give us time to slow down, breathe, enjoy one another, and recognize the many blessings You have placed in our lives. Keep everyone safe in their travels and bring us into the new week rested, renewed, and ready to serve You. Amen.

Have a blessed and safe Labor Day from your Wesley family! ❤️💙
