SBR2026. We had a great and restful time serving the Lord and learning how to be his disciples at spring break retreat this year! Not even a tornado could stop this crew (yes we had an actual tornado touchdown 5 miles away from us.)

Often I am asked why I began First Light. My answer is easy, children/teens grieve and I want them to know they are not alone. Watching the children/teens in our groups confirms my answer. Children/Teens need each other to share their feelings and grow in the acceptance of their new normal. They realize they are not alone and that is so comforting. We want to provide a safe place for these children/teens and offer them tools to aid them as they go through their grief process. Call out for gumbo chefs! Looking for some to cook a pot of gumbo or etouffee for students on 10/15.
We are also accepting dessert donations as well! (Lance will taste test with Blue Bell!)
