In just a short time we will gather for the Common Garments Ministry, Fundraiser Gala – Provision in the Wilderness.

Over the past year, this ministry has served over 1,000 families across Western Kentucky, providing food, clothing, prayer, and the hope of the Gospel to people walking through difficult seasons of life. All food served, every coat given, and every prayer offered is possible because people in this community choose to stand with this work.

Our annual gala is one of the ways that support comes together. It is an evening of fellowship, a shared meal, worship, and a look at how God is working through this ministry and where He is leading next.

✝️ He Is Risen!

Today we celebrate the greatest hope the world has ever known.

Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Because of His resurrection, forgiveness is real, grace is available, and new life is possible for all who trust in Him.

At Common Garments Ministry, everything we do flows from that truth. The food, the clothing, the prayer, the conversations with our guests and volunteers. It all points back to the love of Christ that changed our lives.

As we celebrate this Easter, we pray that you and your family experience the peace, hope, and joy that comes from the risen Savior.

“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.”

📣 IMPORTANT SCHEDULE UPDATE 📣

In observance of Good Friday, Easter, and Spring Break, Common Garments Ministry will be closed on the following upcoming dates:

❌ Friday, April 3 – Good Friday
❌ Monday, April 6 – Easter Monday
❌ Friday, April 10 – Spring Break

✅ We WILL be open Tuesday for scheduled appointments.

Thank you for your understanding as our volunteers and team observe the Easter season and spend time with family.

As we approach this week, we remember the reason for it all. We pray you and your family have a blessed holiday as we reflect on Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Last weekend Common Garments Ministry was blessed by an incredible group of students and leaders who came to help us get the property ready for spring.

First Baptist Church Clay along with others organized the day and brought 52 students during thier Disciple Now Weekend, who jumped right into the work. By the end of the morning they had completed well over 50 hours of labor across the property.

• Weeds were pulled.
• Firewood was stacked.
• Rocks were moved.
• Flower beds were cleaned out.
• They even took the time to pray for us.

And the whole place looks and feels better because of it.

Sometimes work like this doesn’t feel like “serving people.” Pulling weeds or stacking wood can seem small compared to other kinds of ministry. But the truth is that work like this is what allows Common Garments Ministry to stay ready for the hundreds of families who walk through these doors each year. When the property is cared for, it communicates dignity, welcome, and love to the community we serve.
These students didn’t just help us clean up. They helped us prepare to serve others well.

We are deeply grateful to First Baptist Church Clay, the leaders who invested in these students, and every young person who gave their time and energy.

🌿Seats Are Beginning to Fill – Have You Reserved Yours? 🎟

Over the past few weeks we’ve been inviting people to our Common Garments Ministry Fundraiser Gala on April 20, and it’s been encouraging to see seats beginning to fill.

Every year this evening becomes a chance for people who care about this ministry to gather in one room, share a meal, worship together, and hear what God has been doing through the work here in Western Kentucky.
