Good morning folks...we hope you all had a great Mothers Day! We are back at it on Thursday at 3.30, with alot of canned goods, frozen meat, dry goods, and fresh produce, so come on by! We also thank you for your continued support in returning boxes each week...it is a big help to our efforts, so please, return them so we can re stuff each box...see ya Thursday!

Good morning folks. Mother Nature threw us a curve ball overnight, enough so to have McDowell County close schools for today. Given our policy, because the schools are closed, our pantry will be CLOSED, today February 5. we apologize for this, but hopefully mother nature cooperates next week and we can welcome everyone back with a whole bunch of good stuff. Until then stay warm, stay safe!!

good afternoon folks...we hope everyone is staying warm and safe. With regrets we announce that our pantry WILL NOT open tomorrow Thursday January 29th. It has been our policy to close when the McDowell County schools close due to inclement weather. McDowell announced that schools will be closed tomorrow, with remote learning. so for your safety, and the safety of our volunteers, we will close tomorrow January 29...pending any further weather impacts we will see everyone next week. Be careful, be safe, stay warm!! Thanks. Please share with your neighbors and friends.

good afternoon folks...as we prepare for a very chilly Thursday food pantry distribution, it is a good time to remind everyone that when/if McDowell County shuts down the school system for weather conditions, pantry will also close. Look for updates here if there are any questions...we will post a message when or if we have to close. Until then see everyone tomorrow...and stay warm!!!

Great morning folks...we trust everyone had a tremendous Christmas. As we get ready to usher out 2025, we plan to be at pantry TUESDAY December 30, for food distribution. with the way the holidays fell this year, going almost three weeks was going to be challenging, so our great volunteers will step up, pack boxes, and be available to distribute food. so plan to stop by and say Happy New Year!!

Special Date - Tuesday December 30 at 3.30 pm until 5 pm...
same location as always...hope to see you then!!

Good morning folks. Just a reminder that today December 18 we will have our normal food distribution starting at 3.30. We will be closed the next two Thursdays for Christmas and New Years.

HOWEVER...we will have a food distribution on Tuesday DECEMBER 30, starting at 3.30. we recognize that going almost three weeks without a food distribution would be a hardship, so we have made these special arrangements. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas...we will see you all on December 30!!

Folks...here is a reminder!!!

Good morning folks. Just a brief update on our upcoming distribution dates. We have normal distribution set up for Thursday December 18, business as usual. However, both Christmas and New Years Day fall on the following Thursdays, and the pantry will be closed for those holidays.

HOWEVER...we are planning on a food distribution on TUESDAY DECEMBER 30, at our normal starting time of 3.30, to get folks through those two weeks. Reminders will be sent out as the date gets a little closer, but we wanted to share this information. our volunteers are lined up, ready to go, and we are working with Manna and Foothills on stocking our pantry shelves for that day. So stay tuned...and Merry Christmas!! The seasons upon us!!

Good morning folks. After one week we are currently at 50% of our financial goal for this fund drive. We appreciate all that have donated to this point...your generosity is humbling and appreciated. please continue to share...thank you for your consideration...

Good morning folks...we cant thank you enough for the donations to date. we have reached our modest goal of $3000 in two short weeks. we are humbled by everyone's generosity. we plan on keeping this fund drive open to year end, so please consider donating to our little panty. I have been asked if the pantry is in trouble? the answer simply is well no...but when you budget to feed 130 families a week, and that number grows to 200 a week, well we need to do something to close the gap. Again, thank you for your generosity!!!

The Dysartsville Food Pantry has been in existence at the same location in Dysartsville, Trinity Methodist Church, for over 17 years. In the eight years that I have been volunteering the number of families that we help weekly has tripled, consistently over 200.
