Seven volunteers, along with Sr. Luke, ventured to Jackson, Kentucky, to assist Sr. Amy Westbrook, the Parish Life Director at Holy Cross Catholic. With joyful energy and generous spirits, the volunteers painted the parish sign, refreshed the hand railings, weeded and mulched the flower gardens and painted a bedroom on the lower level of the volunteer residence.
Even the tool shed behind the premises received loving attention, now standing renewed with bright new trim—a small but meaningful sign of care and pride in the space.
The volunteers organized a yard sale. It was a sight to behold . Tables were filled, hands were busy, and hearts were united in purpose. It was a beautiful reminder that when people come together in service, even ordinary tasks become sacred moments of connection and community.
May the efforts of these days bear fruit—not only in fresh paint and prepared spaces, but in strengthened friendships, shared laughter, and the quiet joy that comes from serving side by side.
