This Mornings Scripture Reading:

Matthew 18:15-20

Dealing With Sin in the Church

15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

This is the word of God for the people of God. Thanks be to God. Amen ✝️

Day 14 | September 6th

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, King of all kings, we come before you at this moment and humble ourselves. As we tear down the tents that were built here in South Africa and prepare to travel back to our homes to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, may we be connected with God our Creator, and one another, through our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Help us to forget about the past and focus into the future of God’s will for our church.

Our Lord, you have promised us that you will never forsake us and you will be with us to the ends of the world. Help us to trust this promise. Our Lord, you have commanded us to baptize those who repent and teach them to obey all your commandments. Help us to go and do the same. Therefore, go Saints! May you travel safely, may our Lord protect all your servants that blessed these mountains of South Africa during General Conference. May all the proceedings that took place here be honoured, we pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

This morning’s Scripture Reading:

Matthew 16:21-28
Revised Standard Version

Jesus Foretells His Death and Resurrection

21 From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. 22 And Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid, Lord! This shall never happen to you.” 23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance[a] to me; for you are not on the side of God, but of men.”

The Cross and Self-Denial

24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life? 27 For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”

This is the word of God for the people of God. Thanks be to God, Amen ✝️🙏
